Acetylcholine

Things to Know About Acetylcholine

This essential chemical plays many roles in nootropics, noopept memory supplements and in our bodies. What should you know about acetylcholine?

It’s Responsible for Almost Every Movement of Your Body

You can find acetylcholine in motor cells, which means that this neurotransmitter facilitates the flow of information about virtually each muscle movement of your body.

Every little twitch of your finger, every step you take, and every smile – they all happen because of certain muscles in your body becoming tense or relaxed interchangeably. ACh is the main chemical that causes muscles to contract and controls our body. [1]

It’s Based on Choline

Choline is a substance that makes the foundation of acetylcholine in the body. This nutrient can increase the levels of ACh in the body, hence improving motor functions, reaction time, and making you sleep well. It can help you maintain brain balance and minimize the effects of brain fog.

You can find choline in many foods, including meat, whole grains, and fish. A diet rich in those foods will increase the levels of choline in your body.

As you’re about to find out, many nootropic memory supplements are rich in choline too. The nootropic properties of choline are intertwined with the body’s motor functions and better sleep.

The Dangers of Acetylcholine Deficits

ACh is a crucial neurotransmitter in our bodies. Lack in acetylcholine may lead to a plethora of undesired adverse effects. Muscle weakness and fatigue are the most common signs of low ACh levels. In extreme cases, a lack of acetylcholine leads to Alzheimer’s disease. [2]

For this reason – the danger – alone, we should control and facilitate the levels of ACh in our bodies. Be it through a moderated diet or supplements with choline – be reasonable and remember about ACh in your body. Facilitating brain balance and preventing brain fog are another merits of acetylcholine.

Acetylcholine – Effects and Recommendations

Controlling the REM sleep phase and body motor functions, acetylcholine plays a key role in our organisms. It can support brain balance and reduce the risk of brain fog, just like noopept nootropics.

Scholars recommend using choline nootropic memory supplements especially for athletes. As we exercise, the ACh levels may drop dramatically, causing physical fatigue, brain fog, and tiredness. Regulating acetylcholine levels in athletes is crucial for them to boost their athletic performance. This is the case with intensive interval training, such as swimming, running, or cycling. [3]

Caffeine – in certain doses – may too increase the levels of acetylcholine. Studies done on mammals show the effects of caffeine on ACh levels in the body.

The nootropic effects of acetylcholine include:

  • Improved Memory
  • Better Focus and Attention
  • Supported Brain Balance
  • Enhanced Alertness
  • Reduced Brain Fog
  • Learning

Brain Balance

If you want your body to function properly, it’s crucial to maintain a healthy brain balance. Apart from that, here at Goodlife Engineering we encourage you to stick to a healthy diet and exercise, so as to enhance your brain balance.

What is brain balance? Here’s what you should know:

  • Brain balance allows you to use the full potential of your brain;
  • Using both hemispheres is the key to brain balance;
  • Noopept nootropics may help you maintain a brain balance;
  • Brain balance can be stimulated through combining logical and creative activities;
  • Nootropic memory supplements can boost cognitive abilities and creativity, hence improving brain balance.

But is it enough to maintain a brain balance? Maybe, maybe not. Our brains comprise two hemispheres. The right hemisphere is responsible for emotional and creative activities, whilst the left hemisphere takes care of logical thinking and analysis.

As many specialists claim, keeping a healthy, diverse diet can improve the cognitive ability of the brain and stimulate brain balance. Noopept nootropics and other nootropic memory supplements can land you a helping hand when striving for a better brain balance between the two hemispheres.

How to Maintain a Brain Balance

To maintain a brain balance, the best way is to undertake various activities that include both hemispheres. To boost your cognitive performance, noopept nootropics may also be a good choice. Nootropic memory supplements and smart pills may tweak your brain, giving your motivation and improving your cognitive abilities.

How to maintain a brain balance? Here’s what you can do to facilitate brain balance:

  • Keep a healthy, diverse diet;
  • Exercise regularly and spend time in the open air;
  • Develop both hemispheres;
  • Pay attention to both creative work and logical effort;
  • Use noopept nootropics and other brain stimulants.

Brain balance should be at the front of your mind if you want to keep your brain healthy and minimize the risk of burnout, brain fog, and mental distress. Finding the golden mean between logical thinking and creative work will broaden your perspectives. It might even open some career doors for you.

Noopept nootropics, nootropic herbs, memory supplements, and other brain-enhancing drugs can help you keep a brain balance and prevent brain fog by stimulating different parts of your brain.

Cognition Definition

By definition, cognition is the process of acquiring new knowledge and information through experiencing, thinking, and feeling. It’s the combination of experience, though, and senses that help us understand new terms, ideas, and so on. Healthy brain balance improves your brain’s cognitive function and rid you of brain fog.

Cognition comprises five aspects of learning and understanding:

  1. Memory
  2. Focus

Acetylcholine Definition

Found naturally in human and animal organisms, acetylcholine is a chemical that works as a neurotransmitter – just like dopamine does. It’s responsible for the transportation of messages from nerve cells to muscles and neurons.

Acetylcholine is often abbreviated to ACh. This neurotransmitter facilitates the flow of information and impulses connected to motor functions. It sends signals to neurons intertwined with pain responses, muscle flex, and REM sleep phase.

Because it has so many functions, ACh is an important chemical in our bodies. Not only does it shield the brain from brain fog, but it also supports brain balance.

Brain Supplements

Nootropic memory supplements affect your brain and improve its overall cognitive performance. Some smart drugs and noopept supplements stimulate neuroconnections and brain balance, making it easier for the brain to gather and store information.

Research on nootropics is still ongoing, and their brain-enhancing abilities make researchers scratch their heads. Some scholars attribute the potency of nootropic memory supplements to the placebo effect. We’ll come back to this topic later in this Ultimate Nootropics Guide.

Brain Boosters

Nootropics can be called memory supplements for their brain-enhancing properties. Their ability to improve cognition and brain function touches upon different aspects of our lives. Nootropics support brain balance and protect the brain from brain fog.

What Is a Nootropic Substance?

According to the man who coined the term nootropic, Corneliu E. Giurgea, noopept or other nootropic memory supplements are brain-enhancing drugs that meet very strict restrictions. The chemist set five requisites of nootropics, which we’ll discuss individually in the History Behind Nootropics section.

How Nootropics Enhance the Brain

The research on nootropics is inconclusive. Though many students and working professionals hail smart drugs for their brain-enhancing effects, it’s not so easy to prove. E-commerce shops selling nootropics always make sure that their products are lab-tested and safe, yet their effects aren’t so obvious.

Why Nootropics Affect the Brain

One great factor said to influence the nootropic brain-enhancing results is the placebo effect. Researchers have been doing studies on the placebo effect for years now. Despite the common belief that the placebo effect is nothing but a hoax, there’s something more to it. With placebo supplements, you can improve your brain balance and avoid brain fog.

According to studies done by Harvard Health, placebo was effective in reducing the pain caused by migraine in 50% of cases. Citing the Harvard Medical School research, “treating yourself with your mind is possible, but there is more to the placebo effect than positive thinking.”

The Placebo Effect of Nootropics

What if you could improve your mind and body with your mind? We should forget about the placebo effect stereotype and give a think to the power of our brains. Your mind can convince your body of a substance’s effects and have a real impact on it. Traditional medicine has used stimulate healing to support brain balance for millions of years.

Other factors that cause the nootropic brain-enhancing effects are the memory supplements included in the miscellaneous nootropic memory supplements. [4] The most important substances you should know are:

Desipramine

Similarly to noopept nootropics, by improving your focus and attention, desipramine affects your brain and enhances your cognitive function. This nootropic substance is also known to tweak your working memory and brain balance, making learning easier. [5]

When wishing to buy nootropics online, you can find desipramine under one of two brand names: Norpramin or Petrofrane. Desipramine treats depression and brain fog.

Atomoxetine

This substance is most commonly used in the treatment of ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). Atomoxetine may enhance your brain by improving your working memory, helping you learn new things faster. [6]

Atomoxetine improves your attention and helps you focus. It can support brain balance and prevent brain fog. The brand name of this nootropic is Strattera, and was approved for medical use in the US in 2002.

Levodopa

Known as L-DOPA, this nootropic amino acid is natural in human and animal organisms, as well as in plants. It’s a neurotransmitter of adrenaline, noradrenaline, and dopamine. Levodopa may improve your memory and make it easier to recall events and experiences from your personal life. By supporting brain balance, it prevent brain fog and helps you keep your mind sharp.

Tolcapone

Also known as Tasmar, this nootropic drug is used in treating Parkinson’s disease. [5] It gets to the brain from the bloodstream better than other similar memory supplements and affects the central nervous system and brain baalnce, though great amounts of tolcapone are toxic to the liver.

It might improve your cognitive function including episodic memory, i.e. remembering events and experiences from one’s life. Tolcapone also shields you from brain fog.

Nicergoline

This nootropic enhances your brain’s cognitive function in many ways. Nicergoline will tweak your attention, concentration, and reaction times.

Sold under the brand name Sermion, this substance is commonly used to treat dementia and related diseases. [6] It improves the blood flow in the brain and boosts your brain’s cognitive performance. Over 50 countries so far have registered nicergoline.

Nootropics Ultimate Guide - Memory Supplements - Goodlife Engineering - Brain Balance - Dopamine

What Is Dopamine?

In short, dopamine is a neurotransmitter, a hormone that plays an important role in many processes of our bodies., including brain balance. It’s responsible for facilitating the transport of signals in the neurons of the brain.

What You Should Know About Dopamine

Dopamine plays a key role in our organisms. The gradual loss of dopamine is the reason behind Parkinson’s disease. Neuroscientists have been doing research on dopamine for decades. Despite the thorough studies, it still raises controversy among scholars. [7]

This chemical affects both brain balance and the body. Our bodies release dopamine when we feel gratification. This reward-related feeling in our bodies can be felt when we indulge in momentary pleasures.

Lots of new technologies – devices, apps, and services – are designed to give you the feeling of instant gratification. You immediately feel better after scrolling through social media or browsing through the latest notifications. Unfortunately, spending too much time on your phone can cause brain fog and other brain-related issues.

Dopamine Addiction

Gradually more people get addicted to their phones and social media because of the negative way they affect our brains. The reward our brains get is hard to resist, especially when combined with the feeling of connection and colorful app logos.

If you want to learn more about technology – how it affects us, how it’s changed our lives, and how to buy the right technology for yourself – then check out our Ultimate Technology Guide. You’ll learn how to buy the right technology you need from the magnitude of other devices and software.

Dopamine facilitates the flow of nerve cells in our brain and prevents brain fog. How does dopamine affect us?

Effects of Dopamine

Our brains are complicated systems, and we’re still learning about how the brain works. Still, we know quite a lot about dopamine – how it affects our bodies and minds.

Dopamine has effects on:

  • Motivation
  • Motor Control
  • Brain Balance
  • Executive Functions
  • Reward
  • Sexual Gratification

Dopamine-producing neurons aren’t too common in the brain though. When a vast proportion of these neurons die, Parkinson’s disease may develop in the organism.

Some call dopamine the happy hormone, because of its role in the reward system. If you lack dopamine, the results are rather undesired – boredom, depression, tiredness, apathy. You may feel chronic physical fatigue, brain fog, and lack of motivation.

Some nootropic memory supplements or noopept substances are said to stimulate the levels of dopamine, hence improving motivation, attention, and giving you a power boost. Overall, it may result in a better mood, which would only prove that the name happy hormone is everything but wrong. [8]

As is the case with other psychedelic substances, your attitude plays a key role in having a successful nootropic experience. If there’s any shadow of doubt or negativity towards smart drugs, maybe you shouldn’t take them just yet. Additionally, there comes the widely-discussed placebo effect.

You should feel confident about smart drugs. You must be inclined to use nootropics and boost your brain balance. Though this might seem petty, it’s a crucial aspect of the whole experience, often neglected by many people – don’t do anything against your will!

You’re mentally healthy

There are some specific cases in which you shouldn’t consider taking nootropics. The important thing is that you’re mentally healthy. If you’re taking any other memory supplements that affect your brain – be it drugs for depression or other medication – then you should probably give up on smart drugs for the time being.

Always consult the decision to start taking nootropics with your doctor. At Goodlife Engineering, we want you to pay attention to your own health. We want your experience with smart drugs to be responsible and safe.

In the section Who Should Take Nootropics down below, we’ll discuss other specific cases when you shouldn’t think about smart drugs.

What Research Says

Since the chemist and psychologist Corneliu E. Giurgea coined the term nootropics, researchers have been looking into the topic of smart drugs with interest. Their brain-enhancing merits have fascinated scientists for decades…  but let’s leave history for now.

The research behind nootropics is quite intriguing. Smart pills have always been a controversial topic, and its use among healthy people has been questioned many a time. What you might find interesting, is that some researchers claim that there’s no strong evidence or science backing the safety and effects of nootropics. Yet, they work and help different people with brain-related causes. What’s the answer?

Nootropics and the Placebo Effect

There is no consensus, but some big brains stress the importance of the placebo effect. Our understanding of the human brain is still vague, we don’t know how the brain creates consciousness or how thoughts appear in our heads. The placebo effect in itself is a subject of research. It’s fascinating how our minds can influence our bodies by the sole notion of belief, as is the case with some drugs and medication. Patients who take sugar pills, being convinced of their having a medical effect on their bodies, actually do achieve those effects.

Are nootropics but placebo-inducing memory supplements? Maybe, maybe not. What is certain, is that when using nootropic substances, or any other medication or drugs that are to enhance our minds or impact our psyche, the attitude of a person plays a key role. Positive conviction of a drug’s success can impact whether and to what extent the drug will actually affect us.

Science on Memory Supplements

Though the research on nootropics has always been intriguing, it has remained ambiguous. Inconclusive data among scientists boggles our heads and inspires researchers to keep digging into the subject of smart drugs.

As concerns the safety of nootropics, the brain-enhancing substances (either synthetic or natural), are harmless by definition. For a drug to be even considered a nootropic, it has to be safe. So in this case, the question of safety is beyond doubt. If a substance is somehow not safe, it cannot be called nootropic – as simple as that.

What we should always take into account is that such brain-stimulating memory supplements can be addictive. To be clear: nootropics aren’t addictive in the way we all have in our heads when hearing the word addiction. To be addicted to something means that we flee to a momentary pleasure of some sort – drugs, alcohol, sex, even shopping – to feel the high of the moment and forget about the issues of everyday life and responsibility.

Effect on the Brain

Nootropics don’t give you that high. What they do, is deliver the brain-enhancing effects – and that’s where the possibility of addiction comes into the limelight. We would all want to go beyond human, to improve our brains as we’ve seen in Hollywood blockbusters, and bring our minds to a whole new level.

Nootropics do just that – no matter if it’s the placebo effect, or actual impact on our brains – and the awareness of one’s brain improvement is tempting in itself.

We don’t mean to discourage you from taking nootropics – after reading this Ultimate Nootropics Guide, it will be your adult decision whether to use smart drugs – yet you must be aware of the complexity of this topic. Nootropics are a complicated subject, and the Nootropic Brain-Enhancing Method’s aim isn’t to mindlessly advertise nootropics. The mission of Goodlife Engineering is to help you construct a better life for yourself. With product reviews, technology evaluations, and other Ultimate Guides, we want to make you as educated as possible.

It would be unwise to discuss only the upsides of nootropics. Before you make your first purchase of smart drugs, it’s essential for you to know smart pills and powders inside out. Only then will you be able to assess the potential dangers and merits, and then make up your mind.

Understanding of nootropics is not only about the research though. Smart drugs have a rich history, and knowing where and why it all started is important too.

The History Behind Nootropics

In the 20th century, our interest in the human psyche reached beyond psychology. After great thinkers like Jung, Adler, and Freud formulated their theories on human consciousness, we’ve begun to take these studies to a whole new level. Scientists started to experiment with brain-affecting substances, and further discoveries followed.

When discussing nootropics, there’s but one name that always comes along – Corneliu E. Giurgea. Born in the 1920s in Bucharest, Giurgea was a Romanian chemist and psychologist who was the one to coin the term nootropics in 1972. Corneliu Giurgea defined nootropics and set the prerequisites that nootropics should meet.

What are the effects of nootropics according to Corneliu E. Giurgea?

In his academic career, Giurgea stated that a substance should meet five requirements to be classified as a nootropic. They go as follows:

Nootropics should enhance memory and learning

To categorize a substance as a nootropic, it has to enhance the brain cognitive function, according to Giurgea. The chemist stressed the influence of smart drugs on memory and learning as the first and most important requirement of smart pills.

In fact, that’s what we now consider nootropics – memory supplements that enhance memory and learning. there’s not a shadow of a doubt that in his research, Corneliu E. Giurgea put a huge emphasis on how nootropics boost your brain and its ability to acquire new information and remember this knowledge.

For this reason, nootropics have so many uses for people of different ages and professions. They help students learn, score better grades at exams, and do better at their university. Smart drugs are great if you want to minimize the threat of dementia and memory loss.

Nootropics should improve the resistance of learned behaviors and memories to adverse conditions that usually damage them

We all know how easy it is to forget the information you’ve learned, especially if there’s a ton of knowledge acquired at once. That’s how the education system works in many countries – you learn, pass a test, and then forget. What is the use of such an approach?

Let’s be honest – that’s a waste of time. If you want to improve your life and become more knowledgeable, you actually have to remember what you’ve learned. Nootropics enhance your ability to keep all the knowledge in your head against all odds.

One of those odds is ageing. The older we get, the more difficult it is to remember things, as our brain slowly degenerates. A lot of people over 55 struggle with remembering facts, names, and specific information. According to Corneliu Giurgea, for a substance to be considered a nootropic, it has to successfully resist the degenerative factors that affect our brain.

If you want to keep your mind sharp despite getting older, nootropics can help you achieve it.

Nootropics Ultimate Guide - Memory Supplements - Goodlife Engineering - Noopept

Nootropics should shield the brain from various chemical and physical injuries

The third requisite formulated by Giurgea during his studies was that nootropics have to protect the brain from chemical and physical injuries.

Being exposed to toxic materials can severely damage your brain. Smart drugs are memory supplements supposed to shield your brain and your nervous system from such injuries.

Physical injuries are also a menace to the brain. A concussion can, in fact, lead to partial memory loss. Giurgea’s definition of nootropics is that smart drugs prevent the brain from losing its cognitive abilities in case of such damage.

Nootropics should enhance brain performance on both cortical and subcortical levels

The human brain is an extremely complex machine. After decades of research, we still don’t know how it works exactly – how it creates consciousness and emotions. We can, however, see the results of memory supplements like nootropics and study smart drugs’ effects on the brain.

Our brains have two parts. First, the outer cerebral cortex is a thin layer covering the cerebrum on the cortical level, often referred to as gray matter. Cortical functions of the brain are sensory, visual, and motor functions – responsible for empirical sensations. The gray matter makes up to 40% of the brain’s mass. Nootropics boost these functions for the brain. Professional athletes often use them to improve their performance.

The inner part of the brain – on the subcortical level – is the core of our brains. These parts are responsible for the more advanced functions of the brain, including memory, pleasure, emotion, and producing hormones. Smart drugs boost your ability to learn, remember new knowledge, and make you feel better. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be nootropics at all.

Nootropics should differ from other psychedelics, have little toxicity level and have very few adverse side effects

When Giurgea coined the term nootropics in 1972. Psychedelics had already been known and used (especially during and after the hippie revolution in the 60s). LSD, colloquially known as acid, along with other psychedelics – MDMA, DMT, and many others – also mess with our brains, and their positive effects have often been studied by researchers.

In contrast to nootropics, psychedelic chemicals are not as safe as smart drugs. Nootropics, on the other hand, are safe by definition. In his prerequisites, Giurgea defined smart drugs as having little toxicity level and very few side effects. This fact in itself puts nootropics in a better position than psychedelics.

Smart drugs are research-backed, lab-tested, and legal substances that improve your brain’s cognitive function and enhance memory and learning, at the same time remaining safe. If you use nootropics wisely and comply with the recommendations (which we’ll cover in a bit), then there’s but a very narrow possibility that something might go wrong.

Notes on the Mind Behind Nootropics – Life of Corneliu E. Giurgea

The chemist and psychologist got his PhD title at the University of Bucharest in Romania, in the city where he’d been born. After that, he continued his scholarly path in St. Petersburg (Russia), Rochester (USA, NY), and Louvain (Belgium).

One of Giurgea’s famous quotes perfectly describes his motivation behind the studies of nootropics:

“Man is not going to wait passively for millions of years before evolution offers him a better brain.”

Could anyone put it more directly? Nootropics are a tested way to give humans a better brain. As easy as that.

Giurgea was also involved in finding out the benefits of GABA – a nootropic substance that is now used to regulate the sleep cycle and make people more energetic. Without resting on his laurels, Giurgea continued his research. He was fascinated by the characteristics of nootropics, which included:

  • Supporting the Information Transfer Between Hemispheres
  • Facilitating the Synchronization Between the Brain’s Two Hemispheres
  • Shielding the Brain from Physical and Chemical Damage and Improving the Recovery Process
  • Boosting Learning and Memory Skills
  • Low Toxicity and Safety with Few Side Effects
  • Supporting the Subcortical Processes and Functioning

Smart drugs fascinated Corneliu E. Giurgea just as much as they trigger awe today. The question still remains: Who should take nootropics? Who isn’t recommended to use smart drugs?

Let’s find out.

Who Should Use Nootropic Memory Supplements?

Giurgea recognized the plethora of ways nootropics can be used at the beginning of his studies. We’re all humans, we all could do with a little more brainpower at hand. That’s exactly what nootropic memory supplements – smart drugs – do.

No matter your age or profession, there are most certainly some areas of your life that would benefit from the use of nootropics. Though it’s the enhancement of cognitive function that nootropics are praised for the most, these smart pills can also lend a helping hand while exercising or gaming.

Yet, before we dive into the cases when using nootropics would be beneficial (if not recommended), let’s outline who shouldn’t even consider nootropics – for their own health.

Nootropics Ultimate Guide - Memory Supplements - Goodlife Engineering - Brain Balance

Who Shouldn’t Use Nootropics?

According to the prerequisites of nootropics formulated by Giurgea, smart drugs are safe by definition – if a substance is somehow dangerous, it’s not a nootropic. Still, there are a few cases when you should give up on taking nootropics for your own good. The research on nootropics is still inconclusive, and we don’t want you to take any chances.

Pregnant Women

Nootropics are by no means recommended when pregnant or trying to get pregnant. The stimulants and substances that are usually harmless might result in unwanted health effects during pregnancy.

The most widely known nootropic is a derivative of Piracetam, which is often used in calming seizures. Caffeine, another substance of nootropic qualities, has been popularized throughout centuries. The strongest of the racetam family is Pramiracetam – learn more about this nootropic from our website.

The case is that during nursing or pregnancy, every sip of coffee and every pill a mother swallows enters her bloodstream and breast milk. Though those are very little amounts, the fragile organism of a newborn baby should never be put at risk.

People with Mental Illness

Nootropics are brain-enhancing memory supplements that boost the cognitive function in healthy individuals. Though it might sometimes be hard to determine who a healthy individual is, it’s much easier to say who isn’t alright.

If you already struggle with mental illness – be it depression, psychotic disorders, or trauma-related disorders – it is not recommended to take nootropics.

On the other hand, however, things like anxiety or mood disorders are also categorized as mental illness. Still, in such cases, nootropics are oftentimes recommended. Their healing effect in fighting stress or sleep deficits is backed by research.

What’s the right thing to do then? How healthy do you have to be to use nootropics?

The best way to find out is by consulting your doctor. Just ask them what they think, they might even prescribe you some nootropic supplements if they find it necessary.

People Taking Other Brain-Affecting Memory Supplements

All substances are different, and nootropics often affect different parts of your brain and body. Sometimes it might happen that two safe memory supplements become dangerous when combined together.

If you do decide to combine nootropics, make sure to consult either your doctor or the manufacturer himself. Some shops sell nootropic bundles, so packs of nootropic substances that work perfectly together. Be careful when experimenting on your own, though.

If the brain-affecting drugs are not nootropics, the game gets even more tricky. Drugs like Adderall, antidepressants, antipsychotic medications, and even psychedelics are not to be mixed with nootropics under any circumstances. Your brain, though powerful, is a fragile thing. Be careful with it.

Minors

Depending on a country’s regional or national legislation, some nootropics are still illegal. Many e-commerce websites selling nootropics just can’t ship their products to countries like Germany because of the local law.

Still, no matter where you are, nootropics are not to be experimented with by people below the age of 18. First of all, the law strictly prohibits any such actions.

Second of all – but more importantly – the brains of youngsters are actively developing. During puberty and at school, young people’s brainpower is put to a great test. The youth’s brains keep improving their cognitive function and keep creating new neuro-connections. This process oughtn’t to be tinkered with.

Despite the few exceptions, nootropics can be really helpful in improving your well-being. How?

Who Should Use Nootropics?

Due to the multitude of health- and brain-related benefits, nootropics have become popular among a few groups. People willing to boost their brain to do better at university, work, or improve their memory, reach out for nootropic supplements to bring their cognitive function to a whole new level.

Regardless if you fall into one of the discussed groups or not, nootropics might really help you excel at what you’re doing. Who should use nootropics?

Memory Supplements for Students

The environment of universities is a highly competitive one. Students always struggle to get the best grades and combine studying with the rest of their lives. Our lives compose many subcomponents – friends, family, hobbies, education.

Making it all work is not an easy task. Especially today, when more and more young people have to face the nihilistic society and their own inner problems, levels of stress and anxiety are disproportionately high among students.

Nootropics are a great solution for students. What benefits can students expect from nootropics?

Improved Focus

In the interconnected world of technology, we’re surrounded by distractors. Social media always try to get our attention, and ceaseless notifications are not making it any easier to oppose them.

Nootropics can help you focus on what you’ve got to do. Once you’ve put your phone away, smart pills will enhance your ability to keep your mind sharp and pay more attention to your assignments. Nootropics prevent brain fog by improving concentration and alertness.

Improved focus is a great asset of using nootropic supplements for university students. Forget about the distractors – focus, and achieve great results.

Better Memory

How many times have you spent hours learning, only to forget all the knowledge the next day? In modern-day society, we often struggle with information overload. The news anchors keep banging at our door, social media corrupt our minds, and the number of things you have to learn for tests is always getting bigger.

Remembering what you’ve learned is crucial for students if they want to expand their knowledge and score great grades. Nootropic substances grant better cognitive functioning of the brain, improving memory and supporting brain balance.

Enhanced Acquisition of Knowledge

Memory is not everything, though, What’s the use of learning hundreds of formulas and lines of text, if the knowledge doesn’t become a part of you?

Through improving memory and cognitive functions of the brain, nootropics make acquiring knowledge easier. It’s not only about the grades and remembering things. The true pursuit of knowledge means making it stay in your head, broadening your horizons, and expanding your information hard drive – the brain itself.

Good Mood

The American Psychological Association (APA) shows growing concern for students’ mental health. Increasingly more students are faced with serious mental problems like depression, anxiety, and relationship problems. Those are paramount problems of our society today.

Influencing your brain, nootropics will make you feel uplifted and upbeat. Of course, you won’t become a sunshiny, happy idiot all of a sudden (why would anybody want that anyway?). Research shows though, that smart drugs make people feel better by decreasing the levels of stress and negative emotions.

In fact, it’s not about feeling happy. The issue of happiness is a recurring theme in debates among philosophers and intellectuals. Feeling less miserable is a great start. Nootropics help students successfully cope with anxiety and depression.

Your relationships – not only with your lover but also with your friends and family – may as well benefit from your own well-being. Spread this love that you have.

Speaking of depression and other mental disorders, we’d like to underline this once again: This Ultimate Nootropics Guide, comprehensive as it is, is not a substitute for your doctors. If you have problems with your mental health, consult your doctor first.

Higher Productivity

All of the aforementioned benefits of nootropic – improved focus, better memory, enhanced acquisition of knowledge, and better mood – contribute to a substantial rise in productivity.

The effects of nootropics overlap in many areas, and one benefit triggers another. Think about it this way – if you find studying easier, get better grades, and feel better, you’ll be more willing to sit at your desk and keep learning.

At university, it’s all about productivity. The more time and effort you devote to developing yourself and your projects, the more successful it will be. In the long term, it will also turn out to be advantageous to you. Once you become a working professional, all of these assets will help you get to the top.

Working Professionals

Everybody wants to get to the top. Under capitalism, we’re always participating in the race for money, social status, promotion, and a (seemingly) better life. Each of your coworkers is driven by similar motives, striving for more or less the same.

Want it or not, capitalism rewards competence and hard work. CEOs of international companies lose sleep to keep their businesses going, while engineers in Silicon Valley devote their entire lives to innovation.

That’s neither a reason to victimize yourself, nor to give up. What can you do instead?

Among the professional circles, there’s a cult of workaholism. This phenomenon can be observed in Japan, where people die of over-working. It’s become so frequent an occurrence that it has a name of its own. Karoshi means literally “overwork death,” and is caused by heart attacks and strokes, triggered by overworking and unhealthy eating habits.

It probably isn’t the case for you, but you get the gist. The issue of overworking culture is a problematic one. For working professionals, instead of putting a lot of pressure on themselves, working smart would be a reasonable option. Your brain has a lot of potential, and enhancing it seems like a good idea.

How can working professionals benefit from using nootropics?

Get Ahead of the Competition

The corporate world is a never-stopping race. Doing your best may not be enough.

Using nootropics can give you the head start you needed to take the first step. Get ahead of the competition by unleashing your brain’s potential with smart drugs.

Meet Tight Deadlines

Doing your job on time is quite stressful. You have files to go through, tables to fill, calculations to get done. Professionals are under a lot of pressure, and time is yet another burden.

Nootropics give you peace of mind, improve your focus and productivity, making each deadline seem less intimidating.

Get Promoted

If you improve your productivity and get more productive at work, getting promoted is just a matter of time. Of course, nobody can guarantee that using smart drugs will give you a promotion, but enhancing your brain certainly increases that possibility.

Yet, professionals are not only those sitting at their desk or in conference rooms. Athletes too can benefit from nootropics.

Nootropics Ultimate Guide - Memory Supplements - Goodlife Engineering - Noopept

Athletes

Many nootropic substances improve not only your brain and its cognitive function, but also your physical performance – though not so directly.

Some synthetically derived nootropics are proven to enhance your athletic performance. Which substances are best for athletes? Whenever looking through the ingredients of your nootropic supplements, be on the lookout for:

  • Ashwagandha
  • Creatine
  • Caffeine
  • L-Carnitine

These nootropic substances influence your brain and body by regulating the levels of stress, giving you energy boosts, and keeping you motivated.

Some studies show how nootropics can increase blood flow to the brain, shorten regeneration time, and enhance reaction time. Exercising is proven to improve your brain anyway, so combining it with smart drugs can only make it better. [12]

For people of the older generation, sports may not be an option anymore. The healing effect of nootropics can also be noticed in cases of dementia or memory loss, especially among people over 55.

Older Adults

Adults over 55 and the elderly often struggle with memory problems – dementia and related brain degeneration illnesses are a hurdle on a way to live a good life. Nootropics can help people cope with memory loss to enhance their brains.

As we age, our brains naturally lose neurons, damaging our cognitive function. Though we cannot realistically stop this process, we can slow it down with a few strategies. Combined with a reasonable dose of exercise and a healthy diet, nootropic smart drugs may have a major healing impact on the brain

According to the US National Center for Biotechnology Information, memory is a complex phenomenon comprising many levels. That includes short- and long-term memory, sensory memory, and learning. As the NCBI says, “ageing has been described as a physiological process involving all body tissues.” We all can’t hide from it, but we can fight the gradual loss of memory.

In this Ultimate Nootropics Guide, you’ll find that the Nootropic Brain-Enhancing Method has a plethora of benefits for older adults.

At Goodlife Engineering, we understand that people over 55 are not so inclined to experiment with different memory supplements, no matter their potential effects. Many older adults show concerns and doubts about nootropics. This Ultimate Guide is here to answer all your questions. You’ll learn what nootropics are, how smart drugs work, and why smart pills have recently become so popular.

Gamers

The gaming industry is worth billions of dollars. People not only use mobile games and gaming consoles to relax and for entertainment, but also to make money out of it. E-sport is no joke, and professional gamers can improve their performance with smart drugs.

Keep in mind that some nootropics are accessible solely with a prescription. If you’re too worried about buying smart drugs from third-party manufacturers and shops, talk to your doctor – they might prescribe you some nootropic memory supplements, for example, if you struggle with dementia and other brain-related illnesses.

Nootropics Ultimate Guide - Memory Supplements - Goodlife Engineering - Brain Balance

How Nootropic Memory Supplements Enhance Your Brain

Since the subject of nootropic substances is a disproportionately deep one, it would be difficult to characterize all smart drugs at once. What we do know, is that they have an effect on your brain and may enhance your cognitive function. Still, each of them does that in a slightly different way.

In the Nootropic Brain-Enhancing Method, get to know every nootropic substance like the palm of your hand.

Panax Ginseng

The ginseng’s medical properties have been recognized by Asian peoples centuries ago. Also known as the Chinese ginseng, Panax Ginseng is a plant whose roots have been used in herb and traditional medicine.

Panax Ginseng is native to Asian regions of Russia, Korea, and China. Its commercial farming has recently become common in these very countries.

Among all ginseng species, Panax Ginseng is the most popular one to cultivate. At the same time, some call it the true ginseng, for its properties are backed by the most research.

Research carried out by NCBI suggests that a two-weak ginseng session in healthy individuals, the cognitive function improved. It’s difficult to measure the functioning of the brain, yet the results insinuate the brain-enhancing effects of Panax Ginseng.

What are the nootropic properties of Panax Ginseng?

  1. Improves Brain Cognitive Function [13]
  2. Helps Treatment in Erectile Dysfunction [14]
  3. Boosts Energy Levels [15]

Some sites report that taking Panax Ginseng may positively influence your memory and abstract thinking. Boosting your brain, this nootropic improves your cognitive function.

In healthy adults, Panax Ginseng may have a major impact on some aspects of their well-being – something we all have to work for ourselves. Another NIH research indicates that taking the Asian ginseng gives the feeling of calmness and improves memory.

The Panax Ginseng may have positive effects on your overall well-being and quality of life. Improving cognitive function, benefiting your physical and mental health, and making your social life better. [16]

As a conclusion, it’s important to note that the effects of taking this nootropic substance may vary depending on the time-span of using the ginseng. The recommended length is six months.

Lion’s Mane Mushroom

By far the most popular natural nootropic substance available right now is Lion’s Mane mushroom. You can buy the extract from this mushroom on virtually any site we’ve discussed earlier.

This mushroom enhances both short- and long-term memory, helping you learn and acquire knowledge. It’s been widely popular among university students, willing to excel at their courses.

Known systemically as hericium erinaceus, the edible lion’s mane fungus is a medical mushroom. For a long time, traditional Chinese medicine has used the lion’s mane mushroom to prevent brain fog.

Effects of the Lion’s Mane Mushroom

These mushrooms can also be used for culinary purposes, apart from their nootropic effects. In fact, the lion’s mane mushroom is often used in Asian cuisine even till today. As Healthline says, the long-term benefits of eating the lion’s mane mushroom extract include:

  1. Prevention of Dementia and Memory Loss
  2. Help in Coping with Anxiety and Depression
  3. Protects the Brain from Cancer
  4. Calming Effect in Parkinson’s Disease
  5. Boost the Recovery After Mental Illnesses
  6. Reduces the Threat of Heart Disease

When it comes to adverse side effects of the lion’s mane, research has shown no dangers whatsoever. The natural fungi extracts seem to be safe, without any risks or dangers. The only thing we’d recommend (arm in arm with Healthline’s experts) is to be careful with lion’s mane if you’re by any chance allergic to mushrooms. It does seem obvious, but it’s worth mentioning nevertheless.

Nootropics Ultimate Guide - Memory Supplements - Goodlife Engineering - Ritalin - Methylphenidate

Methylphenidate (Ritalin)

Methylphenidate is a medical drug used in ADHD treatment sold under the brand name Ritalin. In healthy individuals, it may improve the brain cognitive function, including focus, attention, and memory.

NCBI studies carried out their research in different doses of Ritalin and on a placebo group. The test group included healthy young adults – university students and graduates.

The results of the research were quite dissatisfying – the scientists recorded no difference in brain function in any test group. Yet, many have recommended the use of prescription drugs like Ritalin or Adderall to students. What should you make out of it?

Nootropic Effects of Ritalin

We can’t be sure about anything that happens in our brain. Methylphenidate’s nootropic effects are most possibly linked to its impact on overall life satisfaction and well-being. Ritalin promotes the feeling of happiness with our lives, hence it might give the impression of enhanced cognitive function. When we’re feeling good with ourselves, everything comes easier – studying, striving, learning.

What other studies show is that Ritalin does improve the cognitive function in people below the average of brain performance.

Some research warns us about the dangers of taking Ritalin. Should we take the risk of brain plasticity for the sake of better cognitive performance? [17]

Brain Plasticity

First of all, what is brain plasticity? Of course, it’s about the physical structure of the brain. Brain plasticity is the ability of our minds to adjust to changing environments and undergo changes due to certain experiences. Neuroplasticity is the reason why our brains may go through biological changes (on different levels) because of some psychological experiences.

Brain plasticity is important, as it allows the brain to re-wire itself. Thus, we are able to change our habits, restructure neuroconnections, change the way we look at life. Neuroplasticity also helps the brain recover from injuries with time. Why would that be a threat?

As we repeat time and time again – we don’t really know the brain. Nootropic drugs are becoming more and more common among young people – students and working professionals. Their brains are still in the developing phase, and we can’t be sure about nootropics’ effects on the brain. Positive as they often are, there’s always a shadow of risk.

Research on Ritalin

The study suggests that apart from the brain-enhancing effects, some nootropic drugs may have adverse effects. The paper reads, “Cognitive enhancement is perhaps one of the most intriguing and controversial topics in neuroscience today.” NCBI points out the potential damaging new neuroconnections in the brain. In plain English: Neuroplasticity may facilitate the emergence of bad habits. With improved brain plasticity, we are susceptible to all kinds of new connections.

Despite all these inconclusive data and research, Ritalin is still in common use among young adults and students. Before taking Ritalin – or any brain-affecting substance – always consult your doctor. Be aware of both the potential advantages and dangers of nootropics to make adult decisions and engineer a good life.

What about the other drug so popular among youngsters?

Nootropics Ultimate Guide - Memory Supplements - Goodlife Engineering - Adderall

Amphetamines (Adderall)

Adderall has entered universities and is right now quite popular among students wishing to improve their brain cognitive function including focus and memory to do better at school. Amphetamines are now a major hit among youngsters, and newspapers like The New York Times have already coined the phrase Generation Adderall years ago. What is Adderall and how does it impact the brain?

Adderall is a brand name for a substance containing salts and amphetamines. In recent years, it has been used as a brain-enhancing nootropic, improving the cognitive function of the brain, as well as athletic performance. Adderall stimulates the nervous system and may serve as a mood-booster.

Brain-Enhancing Effects of Adderall

The amphetamines in Adderall stimulate some neurotransmitters in the brain, like dopamine, which helps to fight the negative effects of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. As Wikipedia has it, “Adderall causes emotional and cognitive effects such as euphoria, change in desire for sex, increased wakefulness, and improved cognitive control.”

In healthy individuals, Adderall does have the effect of improved focus and better attention. We shouldn’t forget about the other side of the medal though. Adderall has a few adverse side effects, including:

  1. Insomnia
  2. Loss of Appetite
  3. Dry Mouth

Another great danger of taking Adderall is the risk of addiction. Especially in larger doses, Adderall addiction becomes a palpable threat. Some studies have shown that the medical use of Adderall from a young age can contribute to gaining weight and slowing in height. [18]

Brain-related effects of Adderall may also stir discussion and concern. In extreme cases, amphetamines may damage the brain, causing paranoia or delusions. Surprisingly enough, Adderall can cause a rapid breakdown of muscles. According to NCBI, over the past few years, Adderall has been the most largely abused prescription drug.

How Adderall Affects the Brain

Despite all these side effects, why has Adderall become so popular among students? In many cases, the potential positive effects of amphetamines outweigh the dangers. What are the brain-enhancing effects of Adderall?

  1. Better Mood and States of Euphoria
  2. Improved Focus and Attention
  3. Faster Reaction Time
  4. Resistance to Fatigue
  5. Increased Muscle Strength

It’s the large doses of Adderall that may be hurtful. When following the recommendations, you (technically) should be alright.

Adderall may improve both cognitive and physical performance. Amphetamine in small doses has small but unquestionable effects on the brain – improving memory and cognition. It promotes goal-detailed behaviour and increases wakefulness and motivation, helping students focus on one task at a time and ignore distractions.

When it comes to physical performance, athletes find the psychological effects of amphetamine helpful. It’s worth noting that non-medical amphetamine is prohibited in the majority of sporting events. Performance-boosting drugs aren’t too friendly in the athlete community.

How Adderall Works

Let’s dive into some science now. How does Adderall work?

Years of research indicated that “the isomers of amphetamine evoke very large and rapid increases in the efflux of dopamine and noradrenaline […].” Adderall is highly effective in ADHD treatment, as had been predicted since the first studies were conducted. The clinical recommendations suggest that Adderall be used in fighting fatigue, suppressing appetite, and treating narcolepsy. [19]

Adderall is a strong substance, so consulting your doctor is a must. Some use amphetamine as a nootropic in small doses over short periods of time. The American Addiction Centers warn against the long-term side effects of using Adderall, including:

  1. Irritability
  2. Aggression
  3. Headaches
  4. Mood Swings
  5. Weight Loss
  6. Paranoia

Adderall – Conclusion

Again, these (and many more) become a threat only when you abuse Adderall. Premeditated use of amphetamines in Adderall are more likely to do you good. Still, knowing all the potential benefits, as well as dangers, is up to you to decide.

Adderall is an amphetamine, and in countries like the UK it’s illegal to sell or have Adderall without prescription. If the law prevents you from buying this smart drug, you might want to consider other nootropic smart pills and powder. You’ll find plenty of them on the internet – it’s just one click away from an enhanced brain.

Nootropics Ultimate Guide - Memory Supplements - Goodlife Engineering - Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha

Also known as withania somnifera, ashwagandha is a medical plant used in Ayurveda alternative medicine. Though there are no conclusive studies on this substance, ashwagandha is a nootropic whose brain-enhancing effects have been reported by many study cases.

Other names for ashwagandha are Indian ginseng, winter cherry, or poison gooseberry. The etymology of the plant’s name is quite telling. Ashwagandha is a combination of ashva (or “horse”) and gandha (meaning “smell”). Though the plant looks tempting with it’s small orange fruit and bell-shaped flowers, ashwagandha’s roots are known for their terrible smell.

The species name, on the other hand, insinuates this nootropic plant’s calming effect. Somnifera in Latin means “sleep-inducing.”

Effects of the Nootropic Memory Supplement Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha’s root powder has been used in Indian traditional medicine for hundreds of years. The Indian ginseng is known for its effects in:

  1. Fighting Anxiety and Producing a Calming Effect
  2. Increasing Testosterone Levels in Men
  3. Prevents Brain Fog
  4. Helping to Build Body Mass
  5. Boosting Energy and Motivation
  6. Promotes Brain Balance
  7. Improving Memory and Brain Cognitive Function

Though ashwagandha is known for these brain-enhancing effects, there is no hard data behind those claims. Too little research has been done on these nootropic plants to prove their effects. Some scientists highlight the importance of placebo, while others see something deeper than that. Big brains keep trying to figure out the mystery of nootropics.

Rhodiola Rosea

This mysteriously-sounding nootropic plant is commonly known as king’s crown or golden root. It’s a perennial flowering plant which can be found in the Arctic regions of Europe, Asia, and North America. Rhodiola rosea has found its use in traditional medicine, fighting anxiety and depression.

At Goodlife Engineering, we won’t even attempt to make false claims about nootropics – we care about the facts. This is not some cheap advertisement site. Our mission is not to make you purchase any nootropic substances. We want to educate you on the subject of smart drugs as thoroughly as possible. For this reason, we’ll say it openly – there’s no hard evidence for Rhodiola rosea’s brain-enhancing effects.

More often than not do manufacturers advertise false claims on nootropics only to persuade you to buy their products. Some time ago, the FDA (United States Food and Drug Administration) issued a warning letter to some Rhodiola rosea dietary supplements and products for tricking their customers into these plants’ effects.

Effects of Rhodiola Rosea

The problem is that we still don’t have enough data to make any certain claims. Nonetheless, the king’s crown has been used in traditional medicine to:

  1. Fight Anxiety and Depression
  2. Improve Brain Balance Between Hemispheres
  3. Regulate Mood
  4. Improve Resistance to Stress
  5. Fight Brain Fog

Whenever you decide to buy nootropics, let it be a self-conscious decision, knowing the subject inside out – including the doubts, questions, and controversies.

Phenotropil

Speaking in scientific terms, phenotropil’s systemic name is phenylpiracetam. Phenotropil was first used in the 1980s by Soviet Cosmonauts to help them fight the chronic stress of working in space. Structurally it’s similar to Piracetam – one of the most popular nootropic memory supplements.

Phenylpiracetam (or phenotropil) was used to improve both the cognitive abilities and physical performance of Soviet Russia’s astronauts. Today, we can use its nootropic properties to engineer a better life – with a better brain.

How Does Phenylpiracetam Impact Your Body?

Phenotropil nootropic capsules are available to buy online in a plethora of e-commerce shops. To give you a general view on phenylpiracetam, we’ve outlined the brain- and body-enhancing effects of this nootropic substance.

  1. Enhances Cognitive Function [20]
  2. Serves as a Mood-Booster in Fighting Depression and Anxiety [21]
  3. Helps Survive in Extreme Weather Conditions [22]
  4. Facilitates Brain Balance
  5. Helps the Brain Rehabilitate After Injuries and Illnesses [23]
  6. Reduces the Feeling of Brain Fog
  7. Improves Long-Term Memory [24]

Serious research has been conducted on rats to study the effects of phenotropil on the brain. This nootropic’s alleged brain-enhancing properties have been at the front of scholars’ minds for years now.

The study focused on phenotropil’s impact on neurotransmitters. Researchers indicated that phenylpiracetam facilitates the increase of some receptors and cholines, thus opposing the adverse effects of amnesia and memory loss.

Memory Supplement Phenylpiracteam

Phenylpiracetam’s nootropic properties include higher levels of energy and better mood. This smart drug may make you more energetic throughout the day and reduce the feelings of anxiety and depression. [25]

On the nootropic catwalk, phenylpiracetam holds a strong position. It’s brain- and body-enhancing effects are backed by research. At the same time, it’s got significantly fewer adverse side effects as compared with Ritalin or Adderall. Used by Soviet Cosmonauts, this nootropic can be bought online today.

Ginkgo Biloba

This herbal nootropic is also known as the maidenhair tree and has been cultivated in China for ages. It’s an aeons-old plant, yet the ginkgo biloba is the last specimen of its species – all the others have become extinct by now.

Ginkgo biloba has found its place in the niche of traditional medicine, just like almost every herbal nootropic used today.

The first records of using ginkgo date back to 15th-century China. In the modern world, ginkgo was used for medical purposes for the first time in 1965 in Germany. In traditional medicine, ginkgo biloba was used for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease. Allegedly, ginkgo has memory-enhancing properties that improve the brain’s ability to remember short- and long-term.

FUN FACT:

A ginkgo leaf is the symbol of the city of Tokyo, the capital of Japan.

Nootropics Ultimate Guide - Memory Supplements - Goodlife Engineering - Ginkgo Biloba

The increase in the number of age-related diseases concerning the degeneration of the brain have motivated researchers to give a closer look to brain-enhancing substances. Scientists have conducted multiple studies on nootropics, and yet they don’t seem to reach a common ground.

In fact, we don’t really understand the process of ageing, which puts all age-related studies in question. Citing researchers, “Advancing age is a complex and irreversible process induced by many factors. It is a major risk factor for the progression of various diseases and can lead to a decrease in physiological capacity, functional tissue impairment and mortality. There has been much research focusing on the molecular mechanisms of ageing, yet the mechanisms are still not thoroughly understood.”

What do we know about ginkgo biloba?

Most of the research focuses on the extract of ginkgo leaves than on the plant itself. Doctors use ginkgo extract to treat Alzheimer’s disease. [26]

Studies done on test groups, using both ginkgo biloba and placebo, indicated that the extract does improve the brain cognitive function in healthy individuals. The patients’ mood and mental-health got better. Ginkgo biloba may have a significant (and positive) impact on the brain. Impacting memory, cognition, and neuropsychological processes, ginkgo biloba has found its supporters in the world of modern medicine. [27]

Apart from that, traditional medics used ginkgo biloba used to fight other illnesses, such as epilepsy or nerval damage. It has helped patients with schizophrenia to diminish the disease’s symptoms and contributed to a better life of people suffering from dementia. [28]

This ancient seed plant is often called a “living fossil,” because of its age-old history.

Nootropic Effects of Memory Supplement Ginkgo Biloba

Another study indicated the nootropic effects of ginkgo biloba on healthy individuals. The research was conducted on certain doses. According to the study, the potential nootropic effects of ginkgo biloba are:

  1. Enhances Chronic Memory
  2. Improves Cognitive Brain Function
  3. Reduces Negative Effects of Brain Fog
  4. Helps Fight Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease
  5. Stops the Degenerative Process of the Brain
  6. Supports Brain Balance Between Hemispheres
  7. Increases the Speed of Information Processing
  8. May Help to Fight Anxiety and Depression

Speaking of the effects and benefits of ginkgo biloba, we should also mention the potential health side effects of this nootropic plant. During a randomized placebo trial with ginkgo biloba, a concerning trend was noticed. The scholars observed that the people who took ginkgo extracts were more likely to have strokes than the placebo group.

Though the numbers are comparably small, it’s a risk you should take into account. Still, other researchers haven’t found any nootropic effects of ginkgo biloba, despite the common knowledge. Studies remain inconclusive. [29]

Caffeine – the Brain-Enhancing Effects of The Most Popular Nootropic Substance in the World

The most popular brain-affecting substance, caffeine is widely used in, you guessed it, coffee, alongside energetic drinks, tea, and cola. This psychoactive substance is legal and known around the whole world.

Caffeine stimulates the central nervous system, and it’s used to:

  1. Improve Focus and Productivity
  2. Boost Energy Levels
  3. Facilitate Brain Balance
  4. Reduce the Feeling of Brain Fog

Unregulated, caffeine is known in nearly all parts of the world. How does it work?

How Caffeine Works

Its nootropic, brain-enhancing effects are owed to blocking the action of adenosine, which is responsible for our being moody or feeling slow. Though it is not recommended to drink too much coffee, the LD (lethal dose) of caffeine through drinking coffee is unimaginably high. One would have to drink hundreds of cups of coffee one after another to bring the danger around.

Still, because caffeine gives us this commonly-known energy boost, letting too much caffeine into our bloodstream can induce serious sleep disorders and health problems.

Some nootropic caffeine dietary substances help you with focusing, give you the impression of wakefulness, and alertness.

Caffeine, the most widely used psychoactive substance in the world, improves your concentration and enhances your brain. Be it the morning coffee to help you get through the day or a cup to give you energy before athletic performance, caffeine is a strong substance. Research and studies back its effects.

Modafinil (Provigil)

You can find it under the brand name Provigil. We use Modafinil to treat insomnia, narcolepsy, and other sleep disorders. Despite inconclusive research, Modafinil may have brain-enhancing properties in healthy individuals, including improvement of cognitive abilities and relaxation.

Some reviews have indicated the nootropic properties of Modafinil apart from its effect on fighting sleep-related issues. Many studies have shown its memory-enhancing abilities. It can also be helpful in coping with anxiety, especially among sleep-deprived adults. [30]

The same research concluded that “the available evidence indicates only limited potential for modafinil to act as a cognitive enhancer outside sleep-deprived populations.” As is the case with many commonly-used nootropics, the scholars can’t quite reach common ground on their efficacy and impact on the brain. Still, Modafinil might have a nootropic effect on the brain.

Modafinil and the Placebo Effect

Placebo effect still is the hinge factor of many a study. This pushes us to ask yet another lofty question – what is the true potential of our minds?

Modafinil might help healthy individuals in soft skills, such as planning or decision making. Through improved memory and cognitive function, Modafinil impacts your well-being too. Test groups have expressed their enjoyment of task performance, which might be the effect of more motivation and focus. No changes in overall mood have been recorded. [31]

Research subjects have also noted higher alertness and improved decision-making. Modafinil made them feel more energetic and attentive while using the smart drug. The conclusion is that Modafinil significantly impacts neuropsychological task performance. This nootropic substance seems to have scientists on its side. [32]

How Nootropics Enhance Your Brain – Conclusion

It’s hard to say anything for sure when it comes to nootropics. Studies are inconclusive at best, yet many people have spoken openly about nootropics’ brain-enhancing effects. Nootropic plants and memory supplements have been used for centuries in traditional medicine, especially in Asian countries.

When speaking of nootropics, we often mention the healing effect of smart drugs. What is it all about?

Nootropics Ultimate Guide - Memory Supplements - Goodlife Engineering - The Healing Effect of Nootropics

The Healing Effect of Nootropic Memory Supplements

Influencing your brain, nootropics are said to help people fight some of the most serious brain-related, mental illnesses. According to some scholars, smart drugs might be helpful when dealing with:

  1. Dementia
  2. Alzheimer’s Disease
  3. Brain Tumors
  4. Depression
  5. Anxiety
  6. Brain Fog
  7. Insomnia
  8. Heart Diseases
  9. High Blood Pressure

As you see, the list is rather broad. Some people have seen major improvements in fighting the diseases mentioned above during their experiences with nootropics. Of course, there’s not enough data to say whether these positive health-related effects of noopept or other nootropics are 100% sure, but the sole fact that it’s a matter of discussion is quite telling.

Noopept nootropics are a fascinating topic that’s still at the front of many scientists’ minds. Some people claim that smart drugs may help in overcoming bad habits and addiction.

Nothing is certain, and it’s always your decision whether you decide (and whether you believe) in the healing effect of nootropics. Today, there’s a myriad of nootropic memory supplements out there, some of which are already a big hit.

Different Nootropic Memory Supplements and Substances

By and large, we divide nootropics and memory supplements into categories as follows:

Racetam Family – Piracetam

Nootropic substances in the racetam family, like Pramiracetam or Aniracetam, modulate your brain’s neurotransmitters and the central nervous system. Some studies showed that combined with choline, substances from the racetam family had even greater brain-enhancing effects.

In countries like Australia, these nootropic substances are prescription-only drugs. Before reaching for these nootropics, make sure to consult your doctor first.

Cholinergics

Cholinergic drugs are used to treat diseases like Parkinson’s disease or excessive sweating. The general term choline describes the substances that mimic or regulate the levels of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. Most animal tissue contains choline.

Cholinergic nootropics may support brain balance by affecting different parts of the brain. What is more, these memory supplements reduce the risk of brain fog and other concentration issues.

Cholinergic nootropics, according to NCBI research, play a key role in enhancing the brain’s cognitive function, including memory.

AMPA Modulators

Other studies show, nootropic AMPA modulators “increased the efficacy but not the potency of AMPA and their action persisted in the presence of the voltage-sensitive calcium channel blocker nifedipine.” They work similarly to noopept nootropics.

What does it mean? AMPA-modulating smart drugs enhance the brain’s cognitive abilities by making the neurotransmitters more efficient. They make the storage and flow of information inside the brain better.

Nootropics Ultimate Guide - Memory Supplements - Goodlife Engineering - Noopept

Noopept

These synthetic noopept nootropics have immediate effects on the brain, and the brain-enhancing results of noopept nootropics kick in within minutes and last for a few hours.

Clinical studies confirmed the effects of noopept nootropics. Decreasing cognitive impairments, reducing anxiety and mental distress – noopept nootropics are powerful smart drugs.

The effects of noopept nootropic memory supplements include:

  • Noopept reduces stress and anxiety;
  • Noopept nootropics improve focus;
  • Memory supplements based on noopept work as neuroprotectors;
  • Noopept substances help in fighting brain fog;
  • Noopept stimulates the brain and facilitates brain balance;

What is more, a study shows that noopept nootropic memory supplements can help the brain recover from trauma or other injuries.

Adaptogens

Herbal medicine often uses adaptogenic substances. Their calming effects help you manage stress, fatigue, and frustration. Non-toxic adaptogens are plants popular in Ayurveda, the herbal alternative medicine.

Adaptogens are your allies when coping with stress – be it chemical, physical, or biological. Another study from NCBI compared adaptogens to other ginseng-like plants, and showed that “adaptogens can non-specifically enhance the resistance of the human body under a wide range of external stress conditions with a multi-targeted and multi-channel network-like manner (…).”

Nootropics Ultimate Guide - Memory Supplements - Goodlife Engineering - CBD

CBD – A New Arrival at the Nootropic Stage

Though CBD hasn’t been classified directly as a nootropic drug, the growing popularity of cannabidiol (CBD) has stirred some discussion.

What is CBD? To keep it concise, CBD has the calming properties of cannabis yet it does not contain THC. As a result, CBD makes you relaxed without getting you high.

Some use CBD as a substitute for THC, since marijuana is illegal in most countries. You can buy CBD in many American and European stores, as it’s not a psychoactive drug (at least not the equivalent of weed).

Because of its calming properties, CBD has been used in facing anxiety, stress, fatigue, chronic pain, or even depression.

Nootropic Properties of Cannabidol

Because of those brain- and body-affecting benefits, CBD is oftentimes compared to nootropics, or even categorized as a nootropic substance. Were we to give it a thought though, CBD does seem to fill Corneliu E. Giurgea’s definition of nootropics.

  1. CBD Is a Safe Substance Without Adverse Side Effects
  2. Cannabidiol Works as a Neuroprotector
  3. CBD Is Not a Toxic Substance, Different Than Other Psychoactive Drugs
  4. It Affects The Brain on Different Levels
  5. Helps to Maintain Brain Balance
  6. Reduces the Risk of Brain Fog

On the other hand, there’s no evidence of CBD’s positive effect on improving one’s memory and the ability to learn. Though it helps you relax, it is unclear whether cannabidiol shields your brain from degeneration and memory loss.

CBD is a new arrival at the nootropic stage, but it has become a hit quite fast. Being a substitute for the psychoactive cannabis, cannabidiol calms you down without getting you high.

In the years to come, we will surely see even more interest in CBD, whose properties have already helped people struggling with depression and stress – whether they’re a nootropic or not, they’re certainly worth your attention.

Nicotine

Traditional medicine has used this stimulant for ages. It’s produced naturally in the nightshade family of plants. It’s a highly addictive substance with dangerous and detrimental health effects.

The negative effects of nicotine include:

  1. Increased Blood Pressure
  2. Increased Heart Rate
  3. Contributes to Heart Attacks
  4. Lung Diseases

Why is nicotine so popular – and addicting? Like other drugs, nicotine impacts the brain’s reward system, giving an instantaneous feeling of high and momentary pleasure. Nicotine increases the dopamine levels in the brain. Research indicated that other substances present in tobacco may enhance nicotine’s effects on the brain. [33]

Nicotine Nootropic

The half-life of nicotine, so the time the body needs to get rid of half of the nicotine ingested, is two hours. It means that after such a short time people feel the needs for another dose of nicotine – another cigarette etc. [34]

Despite all the dangers, nicotine does have some positive effects. It helps to get rid of brain fog and increase focus. Nicotine can fasten the time of information processing and make it easier to stay attentive. [35]

Can we categorize nicotine as a nootropic? Some claim that alongside better focus, nicotine can enhance memory and shorten reaction time. Of all the noopept and nootropic substances we’ve discussed in this Ultimate Nootropics Guide, nicotine is the one to raise most controversies. The negative effects of tobacco smoke, or vaping, put nicotine on doctors’ blacklist.

As a matter of fact though, there are other ways you can consume nicotine – be it nicotine chewing gum or patches. Some use nicotine as a brain-enhancing nootropic, at the same time avoiding the detrimental health effects of tobacco.

Summary – Nootropic Memory Supplements

If you’ve made it this far in this Ultimate Guide to Nootropics, your knowledge on the subject of smart drugs is quite deep by now. We encourage you to stay curious and keep educating yourself on the topic of the Nootropic Brain-Enhancing Method. But before you dive any deeper, let’s recap what we’ve covered.

A General Characterization of Nootropics

Corneliu E. Giurgea coined the term nootropic in the 1970s. Nootropics are substances that meet very specific requirements: they’re safe, non-toxic, they enhance the brain’s cognitive function and memory.

Nootropics have recently become popular among students, working professionals, e-sport gamers, and older adults. The brain-enhancing effects of smart drugs help people do better at work, university, or simply improve their well-being.

Smart pills and powders aren’t recommended for mentally unstable people, pregnant women, and people under 18. Due to inconclusive research, despite nootropics’ safety, smart drugs probably aren’t a good choice if you fall into one of those categories.

Positive Effects of Nootropics

Nootropics and noopept substances might improve your productivity, motivation, help you with sleep disorders, and successfully fight depression and anxiety. Many researchers attribute nootropics’ brain-enhancing results to the placebo effect. Scientists currently carry out more studies, and the subject of smart drugs still belongs to the sphere of public discourse.

Some people express their concerns about the safety of nootropics, others point out the questionable fairness of using smart drugs. Always do your research and strive for becoming as educated as possible on the topic before you start experimenting with smart drugs.

The one click that puts you apart from nootropics shouldn’t be made out of whim. Taking smart drugs is your adult decision. At Goodlife Engineering, we want you to be aware of the complexity of the topic. Just like it is with technology, new things keep popping out in the debate on nootropics. Learn the ropes before you make your mind up.

Buying Nootropic Memory Supplements

On the internet, you’ll find a plethora of e-commerce shops that offer nootropic dietary supplements – powders, pills, and solutions. Always look at the manufacturers’ description with a critical eye, remembering about the inconclusiveness of research on smart drugs.

Also, before you order your nootropics, make sure you know the local legislation surrounding nootropics. In some countries, there are strict restrictions concerning the use of smart drugs. Also, always consult your doctor in the first place – for your own good.

How Nootropic Memory Supplements Work

Nootropics enhance your brain through improving the speed of neurotransmitters, impact the chemicals in your brain. As a result, they may tweak your memory, reduce stress, and boost your energy.

Nootropic substances are either synthetic or natural. They fall into different categories based on the chemical substance they use. The most important (and the most popular) smart drugs are cholines, noopept nootropics, adaptogens, AMPA modulators, and substances from the racetam family.

Traditional medicine has used natural nootropics for ages. Today, alternative medicine Ayurveda used plants native to China and India.

Nootropics and the Future of the Brain

Now, you know more than a lot about the subject of noopept substances and nootropics… but you’re still not an expert. The research on smart drugs remains inconclusive, as new studies appear now and then.

The prospect of enhancing the human brain is thrilling in itself. Nootropics’ potential is enormous, and we can only imagine what opportunities it brings humanity in the long run.

Ultimate Guide To Buy Technology - The Technology Buying Method - Goodlife Engineering - Information Technology

Definitive Technology – Ultimate Guide

This Ultimate Technology GuideDefinitive Technology is here to answer your most important and complex questions. What is technology? How can we use definitive technology to engineer a good life? How to buy the right technology for you?

Though those might seem like intuitive inquiries, the branch of technology has become so complicated that it’s not an easy job anymore. Let’s say you want to buy a phone. What should you pay attention to? How to buy the right phone for yourself?

The definitive Technology Buying Method will help you buy just the right devices or software for you.

The Technology Buying Method

Making the right decisions takes experience and knowledge. This Ultimate Technology GuideDefinitive Technology will clear your mind of all doubts. You can use the Technology Buying Method to learn what you’re really looking for, making the whole process easier.

Let us introduce you to the definitive Technology Buying Method.

Future Technology

The imaginations of people like Kubrick and Nolan showed us what the future of humanity is – and how intertwined it is with definitive technology. With social media on one side and a new space race for Mars on the other, we can be sure that the next century will abound in novel technological revolutions, which will shape our society as an inevitable result.

Cars with autopilots, efficient manufacturing and production machines, even bank services – more and more jobs are taken by machines, leaving fewer places for workers. That’s especially the case with monotonous jobs. Using machines is cheaper and more efficient. What does this future technology mean for us?

The Future of Technology

Humans will be gradually more disposable in non-creative jobs due to future technology and information technology. Driving trucks with cargo, working in factories, or driving buses will most probably become a domain of robots and future technology. Jobs that require human interaction and creativity are by and large safe, nonetheless we’ll be left with masses of people without jobs.

Under the pressure of world wide technology, the system will have to change. Universal basic income and reforms of the education systems are but a few plausible solutions. In a few decades’ time, our civilization will be hard to recognise in comparison to how it looks today.

Future technology is also probable to be connected with bioengineering, space travel, and surveillance. In a new post-smartphone world, we’ll have to get used to a different, better life.

Definitive technology brings us closer together. Faced with so many amenities that future technology brings about, we can talk about a new occurrence – world wide technology.

World Wide Technology

The ways that definitive technology can connect us are twofold: we can get in touch either virtually or physically. Speaking of the former, the associations with world wide technology come by themselves. The internet has revolutionized the ways we chat, talk, connect. The latter has been through a longer process, and we’re only getting better at fast transportation.

Starting with the invention of the wheel, through automobiles, to planes and rockets – we’re getting better and better at transporting humans from point A to point B. You can get to virtually any country by plane, where other means of transportation are at hand.

How World Wide Technology Connects

The future technology is about to introduce us to an even more open and connected world. Some tech giants have already started to bring change about. Elon Musk and his Boring Company have already presented prototypes of their super-fast tunnels. Loop and Hyperloop are to reach enormous speeds and connect people within and between cities.

Overseas transportation may also be revolutionised with the use of sustainable rockets. Passengers would get aboard a rocket in Europe and arrive in the US within half an hour. SpaceX has shown the potential of their reusable rockets when it comes to space exploration. Machines will get us farther, faster. What about software – the code and programmes behind such devices?

What Is Information Technology?

Often referred to as IT, information technology comprises a few branches of writing code. Among many others, the types of information technology (IT) include:

  • Software Development – creating software for apps and other tech.
  • Ecommerce – selling products online.
  • Artificial Intelligence – improving the computer learning technology and AI.
  • Robotics – robots are a combination of cutting-edge software and hardware.
  • Content Management – managing websites’ content strategies.
  • Virtual Reality – developing VR programmes and games.
  • Web Development – creating responsive user experience (UX) for websites.

IT specialists need to have a deep understanding of computer technical support. Information technology professionals help us with information security and take care of systems, databases, and networks.

The internet is a vast resource of knowledge. Apart from all online encyclopedias and websites, there’s one medium that has grown to be one of the biggest social congregations online.

Reddit Technology

Reddit is an American discussion and social aggregation website. The users of Reddit can share different kinds of media – links, videos, images, or ask questions. Then, other users can vote them up, so that they may appear on the front page of the internet.

Reddit is a community space for discussion. The internet is full of categories and pigeonholes. Likewise, you’ll find subreddits on Reddit – subcategories devoted for special subjects.

When it comes to definitive technology, you can visit a subreddit about technology. On /r/Technology you can read about news and affairs about tech and surrounding subjects.

Engineering Technology

In order to excel in the STEM subjects, you need to be extraordinarily smart and have a great interest in things. Engineers have a deep knowledge about both theoretical and practical aspects of definitive technology. An engineer is an expert in handling machines and devices.

With such a degree, paths in design, manufacturing, or production have their doors open wide. What is more, this profession is a rather well-paid one. Average engineers make around $70,000 a year, as statistics show.

Advanced Technology Services

Novel technological advancements keep popping out all the time. In research facilities, scholars and engineering can’t stop working on new advanced technology services to revolutionize our lives even more.

Advanced technologies are still exclusive to a few users, as they’re often highly expensive. Many new advanced technology services are prototypes and aren’t ready to enter the definitive technology market known to us.

Some advanced technology services include:

  • Augmented Reality – technology used both for education and entertainment;
  • Artificial Intelligence – the struggle to tweak machine learning and create consciousness;
  •  Speech Recognition – more and more common in voice assistants;
  • Data Mining – analyzing pre-existing databases to produce new data.

Definitive technology can’t be stopped from developing and influencing the world. How has technology changed our lives?

How Has Technology Changed Our Lives?

This Ultimate Technology Guide – Definitive Technology strives to show you the way around the interconnected world of technology. Besides giving you advice on how to buy the right tech for yourself, we also try to grasp how definitive technology has changed our lives.

This subject, however, is no bed of roses. Yes, we can (and we will) outline all the ways that buying the right technology can help you have a good life. Still, there are some cases when technology seems scary – or even dangerous.

The Impact of Technology on Our Lives

Possibly every major benefit of definitive technology has its polar opposite. We live in the interconnected world, and immense online libraries are within our reach. With sites like Wikipedia, you can educate yourself on virtually any topic, any time. Knowledge is at your fingertips.

On the other hand, we might feel overwhelmed with the excess of news stories and headlines. Some of us may suffer from information overload. Too much knowledge and the unlimited access to it may have contrary results, and only make us more confused about this whole world.

Another part of modern life worth mentioning is social media. These platforms allow us to connect, to share with our friends and family, to find inspiration and find like-minded people. Sounds about right, doesn’t it?

Downsides of Technology

Well, it’s not so colorful. Many teenagers and college students suffer from anxiety and depression, which is only fueled by social media. On Instagram or Facebook, we create our virtual avatars, the personas embodying our perfect lives. Through social media, we create our digital identities, the made-up people whom we pretend to be.

This phenomenon makes it easy to compare yourself to others – to their better, more interesting lives. Scrolling through your feed, you see beautiful faces, photos from holidays, happy smiles. Unaware, you start comparing yourself, making you envious and miserable. You become afraid of others’ judgment, instead of focusing on your own life.

Impact of Social Media

And what about finding like-minded people on social media? Hobby groups, sites, and online communities seem like a great way to connect and find friends, so why not embrace it?

Be careful what you wish for. Because it’s become so easy to connect, platforms like Facebook have become wasp nests for radical ideologues and mass movements. No matter their cause, people on social media surround themselves only with those who share their political views. This leads to further political polarization and gives dangerous groups the ability to share their wicked, inhumane ideas.

Mobile devices allow us to carry powerful technologies with us all the time. Desktop computers and the internet have made education and entertainment easier or more diverse. It’s terrific how we have access to definitive technology 24/7.

The Threat of Addiction

That’s where another problem emerges: addiction. Today, companies create not only the supply of their product, but also the demand for it. Through successful propaganda and advertising, they make the customers want to buy another phone, or download another app. Corporations create the need for their own products.

Had it not been enough, apps are designed to make you spend as much time using them as possible. They’re supposed to be addictive by definition – that’s the only way the companies can make profit. With push notifications, skillfully designed layouts and logos, and even the construction of the app in itself, they’re meant to be addictive.

As we’ve already established, spending too much time on the internet is not too beneficial. Excessive use of social media platforms may lead to mental health problems, addiction, low self-esteem, and more.

Parenting in the World of Future Technology

One disturbing thing is how quickly little children get used to definitive technology. Parents who want a minute of leisure (no doubt they need it) will either turn the TV on or give their phone to their toddler. What should we think about it?

It goes without saying that such a strategy is successful. A kid who is given a phone will keep quiet, and they’ll learn how to navigate through the device more quickly than you can imagine. You might have seen toddlers scrolling through YouTube videos, looking for something to catch their eye – often before they’re even able to speak!

Sure, we should accustom children with definitive technology – it’s going to be an inextricable part of their lives, they won’t ever hide from it. But at the same time, giving a phone to your toddler is extremely dangerous. Though you might not be aware of, you deliver a highly addictive device to your kid.

Mental disorders are one thing, and physical health is another. The blue-light screens damage our eyes, make it more difficult to fall asleep, at the same time making us feel moody all the time. The dangers of technology are still unfolding in front of us, and that’s the worst part about it.

Ultimate Guide To Buy Technology - The Technology Buying Method - Goodlife Engineering - What Is Technology

Future Technology and Predictions

To paint a picture for you – many doctors, who carry out medical eye laser surgeries, wear glasses. Why won’t they have laser surgery done? This technology is still fresh, so we don’t know anything about the long-term effects of laser eye surgeries.

We also don’t know the long-term impact of definitive technology on our mental and physical health. All the data that we have is ambiguous. At Goodlife Engineering, we don’t tell you how to bring up your child or what to do. Still, we want to give you educated advice and teach you critical thinking. Outlining all the positive and negative aspects, we want to give you the information needed to make an adult decision – be it which laptop to buy, or whether to give a phone to your toddler.

Engineer a good life by thinking for yourself. We’re here to broaden your horizons and help you navigate through this modern, interconnected world.

How to Buy Technology?

This question may have never appeared in your mind. Why? Today, we take technology for granted. We act upon our whims and emotions. In the era of ubiquitous information, manufacturers aren’t only responsible for the supply – they create the demand for their products through campaigns and ads, shifting the eye of the public exactly where they want us to look.

As a result, you often don’t buy what’s the best for you, or what suits your needs best.

Why You Need Future Technology

There are many reasons why you need definitive technology. It has totally taken control of the worlds of business, we use it in our everyday lives, and it’s slowly crawling towards schools and universities.

Industries around the world have grown more productive through definitive technology. After the First Industrial Revolution – when we started using the steam engine – many branches of manufacturing have become more efficient. We no longer needed hordes of workers, because one machine could do the same job better and faster.

How Is Future Technology Helpful?

The Ultimate Technology Guide – Definitive Technology leads you not only through the convoluted process of buying technology today, but also shows you how you can use future technology to your advantage.

We’ll look into education and learning to see how the right software and devices can transform the learning experience nowadays. Isn’t it wonderful that you can learn a new language using a free app – no schools, no private tutors, no high fees.

On the other hand, in business, definitive technology helps you stay connected – both within a team and with your customers. Modern business and entrepreneurship wouldn’t exist without the internet. The Ultimate Technology Guide – Definitive Technology will show you how to choose the right tech for your business. Regardless, if you’re a local shop owner, an international businessman, or an independent freelancer – we’ll show you how to buy just the right software and devices for you.

How Has Technology Changed the World?

We’ve already touched upon the industrial revolution. The advent of such devices as washing machines or dishwashers led to great social changes and were the motor of the emancipation movement. Yet, looking at recent history, the greatest changes came into existence only in the last decade. How has world wide technology changed the world?

World Wide Technology and Changing the World

There’s no doubt that the changes we’ve seen in the last ten years are groundbreaking. Technology has changed the world in many aspects.

Business and Entrepreneurship

Forget about the old business models. In the 21st century, business is all about staying connected. Through the internet and information technology, you can help your customers find you online and make purchases through your ecommerce shops. At the same time, you can keep in touch with all your team members and grow real connections.

With the potential of information technology, everyone can become an entrepreneur. All you need is a laptop, skills, and passion.

Finance

At the beginnings of stockbroking, Wall Street was an exclusive environment for goal-oriented professionals and experts in the field of stocks. Today, because of world wide technology, the game has changed.

You can become a daily broker today, using various broking platforms for beginners. Without leaving your home, you can both monitor the worldwide markets and turn your hobby into a profession. If you’re thinking about setting up your stock exchange career, consider one of those websites:

These sites will introduce you to the world of trading. Our finances are based online – you can use PayPal for international transfers, and easily contact your bank representatives with a click of a button.

Understanding finance is the prerequisite of living in the world of capitalism. Unfortunately, our education system barely touches upon this topic. Becoming a stock trader isn’t as difficult as it might seem – you need to keep your mind sharp and never stop learning.

Investopedia is by far the greatest online resource for finance-related news and insights. By getting familiar with their articles, you can get to know dividends, markets, and other investing essentials like the palm of your hand.

Connecting – World Wide Technology

Distance is not a barrier anymore. The internet allows you to keep in touch with your family and friends all around the world. You can text them any minute, or even see their faces with video chats. You can help information technology for that.

World wide technology is about connecting, and to have a good life, you need people. Humans are social animals, and the feeling of belonging gives us an identity that contributes to our overall well-being. In the depths of the internet, you may even find love.

Online, long-distance relationships can thrive solely with the help of the internet and information technology. Dating apps like Tinder made it possible. Business is more often than not dependant upon group chats and managing software. World wide technology has revolutionized connecting. The world is open for you, yet Google Maps is not the only way you can explore it.

Travel with World Wide Technology

Seeing the world for yourself has never been easier. You may ask yourself: How has technology influenced travelling?

First of all, there are the obvious reasons – fast travel enabled by the mass popularization of railroads, cars, and airplanes. How else can world wide technology help you travel?

As we’ve said, the internet and information technology is all about connecting. With your mobile, you can reach out to fellow travellers from all around the globe. In this case, apps come in handy.

Couchsurfing

Worried about accommodation? Couchsurfing is a massive online community that connects hosts and travellers – couchsurfers – worldwide. If you want to travel to distant lands (or even close-by cities), you can find hosts who are willing to offer you accommodation. You may or may not become a host, yet hosting is a great opportunity to share your hospitality with international travellers with the help of information technology.

To become a member you have to pay a one-time fee. Once you’re part of the community, you can also find people to hang out with, meetings to attend, and groups to join.

SkyScanner

Cheap travelling is the Holy Grail of all travel-enthusiasts. With SkyScanner, you can compare and find the best budget connections between cities and countries.

SkyScanner is also a browser for accommodation and car rentals. Flights, hotels, and car hire – find the best offers and expand your horizons. Exotic destinations, big cities, and the world’s most distant destinations are within your reach. World wide technology is your key to seeing the world.

BlaBlaCar

Travelling through Europe has many faces. Flights, trains, buses… BlaBlaCar is an alternative means of transport between cities. How does it work?

If someone drives e.g. from Berlin to Hamburg, they often have free seats in their cars. BlaBlaCar helps you share your free car seats or grab a place in one of those cars. It works a bit like hitchhiking, with the exception that the trip is paid (usually a small fee) and secured by the company. Why take a train if you can hop onto a car and meet new people there?

BlaBlaCar also offers cheap bus connections, starting as low as a few dollars. Unbelievable? The aforementioned trip from Berlin to Hamburg, with BlaBlaCar’s bus, only costs around $6.

Culture Trip

In the interconnected era, information technology helps you discover all the best about cities without local guides. CultureTrip is created for curious travellers. What can you do with this app? In Madrid, you can follow the path of the American writer Ernest Hemingway. Visit every pub where Hemingway used to sip his beer on the warm evenings in the 1920s and 1930s.

Look at travelling from a different perspective with world wide technology – explore cities through their history, design, music and experiences.

AirBnB

Find temporary accommodation with the help of AirBnB. Landlords from all around the world offer rooms, studios, and even entire houses for rent.

AirBnB is a community that connects travellers with landlords. Again, technology shows us how powerful it is at binding people together – no matter what you’re searching for.

If you’re an initiator, you can also host an experience via AirBnB. Online classes or outdoor meetings are at your fingertips.

Uber

The way we move around through cities has drastically changed in the last few years due to information technology. In bigger cities, there are various alternatives for you to choose from – electric scooters, carsharing services, bikes, food delivery, or drivers at your service.

Of all the companies out there, Uber is the most popular and successful one. The company based in San Francisco has grown so large that now it hires over 22,000 people worldwide.

The Technological Revolution

For years, future technology has been something exclusive for scientists. The process of incorporating it into everyday reality was slow and tiresome. In the last decade, something changed. We’ve grown so accustomed to tech that we get used to new apps and technologies as soon as they’re released.

Business, finances, and travel are but some of the sectors that have undergone major changes due to the technological revolution. Information technology is about connecting people – no matter their interests, age, or location. That’s why it has changed our lives so much.

Ultimate Guide To Buy Technology - The Technology Buying Method - Goodlife Engineering - Future Technology

Ultimate Technology Guide – Definitive Technology – Technology Buying Method

How to buy the right world wide technology for you? We’re surrounded by new technologies, so how to buy the technology you actually need? The choice of technology is a challenge, and this Ultimate Technology Guide – Definitive Technology is here to help you out in making a good life.

More and more new phones, smartwatches, Smart TVs, and other gizmos are coming out each year. Using the Technology Buying Method will help you identify your needs and define the benefits that you can get from buying the right technology.

Nowadays, it’s crucial to know the factors that influence tech. In Goodlife Engineering, we believe that figuring out your way in the modern world is a process that takes time and consideration.

Each day, you’ll see ads about new phones. Should you go for an LG ThinQ or a Samsung flagship? Even when you’ve decided which brand is your favorite one, there’s countless other models to buy. First, we’ll divide technology into categories. They go as follows:

Individual Everyday Use

In our everyday lives, information technology has become an inextricable part of our existence. We use to it communicate through instant messaging apps, check up on information we need, or do groceries. Future technology is supposed to make our lives easier, and that’s the goal of many a tech company these days.

Business and Entrepreneurship

The business of the 21st century wouldn’t exist without information technology. We stay connected 24/7 and communicate with business on the web.

Selling online, or e-commerce, is a developing branch of business. In the interconnected world, communication with both your clients and your coworkers is the hinge factor that may decide on your business’ success.

Learning

Online learning is gaining popularity across people of all ages. The way we learn changes, whilst physical classrooms are becoming obsolete.

More and more of us turn to online courses, podcasts, or private tutors with the help of the internet. Buying the right future technology for this purpose is essential.

Entertainment

Sometimes we just want to do nothing. Netflix and chill, watch videos on YouTube, kick our feet up. Which TV should you buy? Will a Sony be enough, or are other brands just as good?

Teaching and Education

Let’s be honest: most (if not all) of students now are digital natives – people born surrounded by technology, who don’t know a life without Wi-Fi. For schools to stay up-to-date, pupils need access to the right world wide technology, things that suit their needs and level of expertise.

It’s paramount for schools, universities, and other educational institutions to go with the flow. Buying future technology can be a real conundrum though.

We’ll discuss each of the categories in depth. When it comes to buying the right technology, this should be your primary question to ask yourself: What am I going to use this future technology for? This is the first step of world wide technology evaluation.

What questions should you ask yourself?

For each category, we’ll look at similar factors you should take into consideration. This Ultimate Guide to Definitive Technology will lead you through each aspect worthy of your attention. The technology choice method is going to save you money and time. What to ask yourself when choosing your tech:

  • Why Do You Need a Particular Future Technology?
  • How Is This World Wide Technology Supposed to Help You?
  • What Kind of Information Technology Am I Looking For?

These three (seemingly) easy questions are necessary for the Technology Buying Method. They help you identify your needs so that you know exactly what you want. In the consumerist society that we live in, we feel obliged to buy new tech all the time. More often than not do we purchase technologies that we have no use of.

How to Choose a New Phone

In this Ultimate Technology Guide, we’ll show you how to make educated purchases, so you won’t waste your money on stuff you don’t need. To make it clear to you, here’s an example:

  1. Let’s say you want to buy a new smartphone. Start by asking yourself why you need a new phone? Is the old one lagging, or is the battery not good enough?
  1. Then, think about how this new phone will help you. Is there going to be more storage on it?
  1. Eventually, what kind of future technology are you looking for? Sure, it’s a phone, but that gives a wide range of possibilities. Do you need a gaming phone, something big for viewing spreadsheet tables, or a regular smartphone?

Technology Buying Method: What’s Important When Buying Tech?

Only once you’ve answered these questions, you can move on to the next step. Now, you’ve got your purpose for buying your future technology. It’s time to choose the right technology for you. What to pay attention to when buying technology:

  • Budget & Price
  • Brand Authority
  • Competition
  • Production Year
  • Usability & UX
  • Operating System and Software
  • Dimensions: Size and Weight
  • Connectivity
  • Battery Life
  • Warranty
  • Functionality
  • Hardware & Design

Once we’ve discussed each of those aspects, we’ll move on to discussing the Technology Buying Method – Characterizing Technology. It will be the ultimate step in this Guide to Buy Technology.

Now that you know the ropes (at least by and large), we can jump into detail. One by one, this Ultimate Technology Guide will lead you through all the factors you should take into consideration when choosing your world wide technology, engineering your own well-being.

We’ll start with your own, private tech – the devices you use every day.

Individual Everyday Use

Wherever you look, you’ll see technology. As a matter of fact, you wouldn’t be able to read this article without it. Each day, you reach for technology to hear the news, get in touch with your friends and family, communicate.

Before you start setting up your budget, ask yourself why you need a particular future technology. Here are some ideas:

Your old device is no longer enough.

We’ve all been there. The lifecycle of a smartphone today is around two years. New technologies are released a few times a year, each of them bringing something new into the limelight. There comes the time when you feel that it’s time to say good-bye and upgrade, and that’s okay.

It’s broken.

Accidents happen. Sometimes a screen gets cracked, other times the smartphone will start glitching and won’t work. No matter if it was your fault or not, replacing your phone is sometimes necessary beyond doubt.

The contract or warranty is off.

Some carriers offer buying devices on installments. As long as the contract lasts, you can use mending services should anything go wrong. Contracts differ, so make sure you know what you’re signing.

Next, think about how technology helps you in everyday life, making it easier?

The role of tech has changed when the internet spread like a wildfire all over the world. Since the late 1990s, more and more people started having immediate access to information.

In the beginning, computers were used solely to communicate on campuses. Phones were solely for calling and texting. Today, most of our communication takes place online. Instant messaging systems, social media platforms, email.

Technology has become but internet access provider nowadays. This is how technologies help you in your day-to-day life. They give you access to the data you store in the cloud, they let you reach the ones you care for, they keep you up-to-date.

Asking yourself how technology can help you is like identifying exactly what you need. It will give you an idea of what you’re looking for.

What Kind of Technology Do You Need Every Day?

Eventually, give a think to what kind of tech you’re looking for. Technology is so broad a topic that we could discuss it for days on end. For this reason, we divided it into a few categories:

Basic Mobile Devices

Every day, you’re on the go. From home to school, work, in your backyard, or on holiday. Can you imagine going somewhere without your phone? Or going on a business trip without your laptop? devices in this category are absolute necessities. That includes phones, laptops, and tablets.

Basic Stationary Devices

While you’re at home, technology helps you in a plethora of ways. Let us not forget, that washing machines, fridges, and dishwashers are also tech! Most of the gizmos you find in your kitchen are works of technology to help you. They are basic stationary devices, and they go along with your personal computer and television. Your home is full of tech that you use all the time.

Ultimate Guide To Buy Technology - The Technology Buying Method - Goodlife Engineering - What Is Technology

Mobile Extras

Some devices let you be even more connected, wherever you go. Technologies that we call mobile extras add special features to your mobile devices. They expand the usability of technology. Things like headphones or smartwatches aren’t what you need to live, but they’re useful nonetheless. People often refer to them as wearable tech.

Specialistic Tech

If you have a hobby, you might need professional tools to do what you love. A photographer needs a camera to take pictures. If you’re a writer, you may need an ergonomic keyboard, for the sake of your own wrists. Specialistic tech comes in handy for niche pastimes and specific needs.

However, technology has already moved beyond being an individual’s bread and butter. Business has been taken over by technology – not only in Silicon Valley.

Business and Entrepreneurship

No matter if you’re a CEO of an international corporation or an owner of a local shop. Today, even bakers use technology on a daily basis. The question is now if you should invest in tech, but how. This Ultimate Technology Guide will give you a few ideas on what to consider when buying the right technology for your business.

More and more businesses are going online. Ecommerce is seen as the future of business by some. Regardless, if you’re selling goods or services, you will certainly need technology to communicate and see your charts skyrocket as your sales increase.

The word business in the 21st century is a broad term. In this Guide to Buying Tech, we decided to divide business into categories, so that you can find exactly what you’re looking for. We’ll begin with local businesses.

Local Businesses

Why does your local business need technology?

In the past, if you ran a local business, word of mouth was all you needed for marketing. Though people’s testimonies are still important, they prefer to leave a review on Google instead. You can use the internet for promotion, set up your online presence, and grow your company.

How will technology help your local business?

Marketing is the primary reason you need tech. Through the internet, you can reach people from your neighborhood more easily.

To introduce contactless payments – especially useful in the post-pandemic times – having a device is crucial. People are often more willing to pay with their card or phone instead of cash.

Show your clients – and your team – that you’re up-to-date and take your company seriously.

What technology do you need for your local business?

Of course, it depends on what your business offers. A personal computer, or a business laptop, will be your center of operation, allowing you to control sales and traffic. To introduce contactless payment, you’ll need a reader.

For a photographer, a camera is essential, while a bakery could do with an ice cream machine. Such technologies will expand your local business, allowing you to provide extra services to your customers.

To know exactly what you need, make a list of devices that you think you need. Then, outline a few benefits of each one. This will give you an overview of how different technologies can influence your local business. Make thought-through choices to thrive as an entrepreneur.

Big Businesses

Why do big businesses need tech?

As businesses grow, entrepreneurs will employ more and more people. For a business to operate successfully, conversation is crucial. Be it between employer and employees, or business and the customers – communication is the key to success.

Besides, technology can help you explore new ways of expanding your business – the internet is full of potential!

Though be aware that you might need to additionally train your employees. See it as an investment, rather than an expense.

How will technology help your business?

Technology keeps you connected. As we established, communication is paramount. Identify the benefits of technology by thinking about how it can help you.

What are the potential gains? How can that open new doors and opportunities for my business? Can technology help me expand, maybe go international?

Buy technology to use it as a conversation-starter in your company. It will spark up new ideas and solutions at once.

What future technology do big businesses need?

For example, buying business phones for your employees makes them more available to your customers. Another great merit of that would be caring for your employees’ well-being. Business phones draw a line between professional and private. This is a challenge that many businesses face, so outsmart it!

We’re going to discuss information technology and world wide technology that may benefit businesses down below.

Self-Employment & Freelance

Though being self-employed doesn’t fit into the regular frames of business, it is certainly a major branch of the 21st-century economy. After the COVID-19 pandemic, more and more people are diving into the world of the gig economy and working remotely.

You too can become a freelancer (if you aren’t already). The question of why you need information technology is self-explanatory, hence we won’t waste time discussing it.

When it comes to how buying the right tech can help people who are self-employed, the case is very similar. One could argue that tech and access to the internet is the prerequisite of a freelance career.

The job of a freelancer nowadays is based almost entirely on information technology. You still need to choose the right one to kickstart your career. Take a look at our list to find out what the best future technology for business is.

Best Future Technology for Business

We’ve already mentioned how contactless payment readers and business phones can help your business grow. Here’s the best world wide technology you may consider when choosing the right devices for your business.

Laptops and PCs

Whether you’re a freelance and want to buy a laptop, or you’re a CEO planning to purchase a hundred PCs for your company, there are a few factors you should consider. We’ll discuss them in the How to Buy Technology For Business section.

Work and Inventory Control Systems

To bring your business to the next level, once you’ve identified your needs, introduce the right world wide technology. For companies that deal with vast amounts of products – be it for sale or hire – information technology can help you keep everything under control.

Your employees can use work control systems, so you can measure their efficiency and track their work throughout the day. At the same time, inventory control systems let you know exactly what came in, and what went out. Be in charge of your business with the right technology.

Printers and Scanners

You can often buy a printer and a scanner combined in one device, with brands like HP or Canon in the lead. Not each business needs a printer, but even small entrepreneurs sometimes need to get a document or an invoice on paper.

Scanners and printers aren’t a competitive niche of technology, so once you buy such device, it should last for years. Upgrades are possible, but certainly not necessary.

Buying technology is more than devices, though. You’ll find some useful software that will be an upgrade for your company.

Mailing Services

Using mailing services like Mailchimp or sendinblue is one of many ways you can promote your eCommerce services, or let people know about your events. Once somebody has signed up for your mailing list, you can send them newsletters, special offers, and more.

PRO TIP: If you’re a newbie in the world of digital marketing, no reason to worry! Google’s Digital Garage offers special courses that will introduce you to online promotion techniques. And guess what – it’s free!

Chatbots

Improve your customer service by adding chatbots. They often work across platforms and answer your customers’ queries for you.

ChatBot and MessageBird are but a few software companies providing chatbots.

Security Services

Internet browsers, like Google or Bing, have been putting more and more emphasis on internet security. If you click the lock next to a website’s link, you can see if the protocol it uses is secure. Sometimes, if a website doesn’t use such a protocol, you will receive a notification from the browser.

Cloud Storage

The world is all about information now. To make it accessible for each person in your business, from whatever device they use, cloud storage services provide a solution. Keeping documents, spreadsheets, and data charts in the cloud will make your life easier.

There are many cloud storage services. Some of them are paid, others offer you limited storage for free. To save you time, we’ve prepared an outline of them, with pricing and characterization:

Google Drive

Once you’ve got your Google (Gmail) account, you have access to Google Drive – Google’s cloud storage. You get 15 GB of storage for free, and you’ve got access to services such as Google Docs, Google Sheets, or Google Slides.

Sharing documents is a piece of cake, you just have to copy a link. It’s a powerful technology for your business.

iCloud

Apple gives you 5GB of storage on iCloud. If you use other Apple products, it’s an easy way to share files across your devices, which self-employed freelancers will certainly find convenient.

If you want more storage, the rates start at $0.99/month for 50GB and end at $9.99 monthly for 2TB.

Dropbox

Dropbox gives you 2GB of free cloud storage. If that isn’t enough, you can upgrade your plan. Dropbox offers different rates for individuals and teams, the amount of storage ranging from 2TB to… as much as you need.

OneDrive

Microsoft’s OneDrive is your cloud storage of choice if you use devices running on Windows. They give you 5GB for free, and you can upgrade to Professional or Home, with up to 6 TB of cloud storage.

The more expensive options come with Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), so that’s a great feature to be aware of.

Amazon Drive

With Amazon Drive, fka Amazon Cloud Drive, you can purchase 100 GB plan for $19.99 per year. If that wasn’t enough, Amazon offers 1 TB of storage as well – that’s $59.99 a year.

Today’s business depends on technology. No matter if you’re an ecommerce site or a local business, the right combination of hardware and software is the key to your success. The technologies we’ve discussed will help you expand your business and get new customers.

What are the most important things to take into consideration when buying the right technology for your business?

Fits in the Budget

BONUS: Social Media as a Marketing Tool for Businesses

The way we process information and communicate with people was revolutionized with Zuckerberg’s Facebook. Ever since, we’ve seen new media arise and get to the top. What are the kinds of social media? Which social media platforms should you choose for your business?

Facebook

Throughout the years, the role and importance of Facebook have changed. Today, people use this platform to connect within their communities and interest groups.

Facebook is also a big marketplace for… just about anything! Finding your niche won’t be difficult, just search for it and you’ll see groups teeming with people from your target group. This is a great place to market your products.

Instagram

Instagram, owned by Facebook since 2012, is a social media platform for sharing photos and videos. If your business puts emphasis on aesthetics, then Instagram is the way to go.

Twitter

Used by politicians, authors, and just about anybody who wants to share their thoughts, Twitter is there to stir discussion and conversation.

Tweet about your products, services, and about your company, to build trust among your audiences and let people know you better.

Pinterest

On Pinterest, people search for inspiration. When you’ll start creating your pins, make sure they spark up ideas and make people want to visit your website for more information.

Tumblr

Started out as a free microblogging website, Tumblr is a social media platform where people post their short-form blog posts on a myriad of topics.

If your business website already has a blog, you can use Tumblr to share snippets and sneak-peeks of the content you already own. This way you won’t have to waste too much money and time for new articles, but refurbish the old ones.

YouTube

Speaking of refurbishing content, YouTube is a great way to bring your old articles to life. Turn blog posts into fun-to-watch, informational videos and share them on your YouTube channel.

You can also use YouTube to upload videos promoting your services or products. This social media platform is so popular that targeting your audience is just a matter of time.

Forums

If you thought that in the era of social media traditional forums have fallen into oblivion, you were wrong. Sites like Quora, StackExchange, or Fluther still have their active communities.

Don’t spam your links around though. People still use forums to ask questions. If your product or service is the answer to those questions, then bingo – we’ve got the winner.

Information technology in business is the new normal. It has had, however a major influence on how we acquire new knowledge. Today, you can buy the technology that will help you learn.

Learning with Future Technology

Information technology has revolutionized the way we learn. With the help of world wide technology, we’ve got immediate access to the internet, which is but a limitless resource of information and knowledge. As humanity progresses, learning is being redefined. Buying the right technology to deepen your knowledge is a giant first leap.

There are countless ways to educate yourself today without going to school or university. You can do online courses, listen to podcasts, or even watch videos on YouTube.

Why do you need information technology to learn?

University or school education takes time. Maybe you’re at the beginning of your scholastic route, or maybe you graduated two decades ago. What world wide technology gives you, is the opportunity to educate yourself no matter your age and location.

Traditional education is costly. Universities require exorbitantly high tuition, private schools have expensive entry fees, and course books don’t fit into the on budget category either.

On the other hand, internet connection and Wi-Fi is often cheaper than television. Sure, you do have to pay for the technology in itself, but it opens a plethora of ways to choose from. And this is how technology will help you learn.

Once you’ve bought your device, you basically have unlimited access to educational materials. They’re within reach – courses, apps, and podcasts.

To start using them, you’ll need future technology that will suit you – and your lifestyle best. You might consider a desktop computer to study at your desk. If you want to learn on the go, a mobile device is a must. So, what world wide technology can help you learn?

World Wide Technology That Helps You Learn

The right future technology that will lend you a helping hand at learning are the same devices you use every day. You can use your phone, your headphones, or your laptop.

You don’t have to break the piggy bank and get professional technology to learn. In this case, it’s something else that matters.

Software and Apps

It’s software that matters. Hardware (or physical devices) goes to the background. Apps are the new carrier of education. Buying the right information technology to learn means choosing the right software.

There are quite a few apps out there to teach you new skills – no prior education required! You’ll find various ways you can use tech to learn. What can you learn with the help of information technology?

Learning a language

If you want to learn a new language, you have a few ways to go. Private tutors can help you understand the basics of a language. But such classes are often costly.

Free apps come as a response. Software that expands your linguistic skills is either free or includes monthly membership payments. Go to App Store, Google Play, or wherever you find your apps, and see what’s there.

Duolingo is by far the most popular and easy to use language learning software and information technology. For English speaking users, it offers a range of languages to choose from – from Spanish, through Navajo, to High Valyrian.

FUN FACT: According to Duolingo’s analytics, Swedish is the most popular language on Duolingo in Sweden – learned mostly by refugees.

Sure, Duolingo is not the only language learning app. Babbel is similar to it in its structure, while Flashcards offer a slightly different take on learning a language. Give them all a try!

Maths and Future Technology

Maths, the queen of all sciences, can be fun too! You might remember from your school days when boring lessons put you to sleep with complex equations.

GeoGebra is an app that helps you visualize charts and curves – parabolas, circles, and ellipses. It’s there to introduce you to algebra, calculus, and geometry from an interactive and fun perspective.

If you’re looking for another way to learn maths, Photomath is here to help. This app lets you scan mathematical problems and give you a step-by-step solution. For students studying maths at school, Photomath is a great way to grasp maths like a boss.

Learning with Future Technology – Podcasts

Services like Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or Tidal have huge libraries of recordings to choose from. Podcasts have become a major hit throughout the last few years. Why?

First of all – it’s relatively easy to make a podcast. For this reason, many people became podcasters.

Second of all – you’ll find podcasts on any topic. History, psychology, psychedelics. Whatever you’re interested in, and whatever you want to learn, you can listen about it.

Lastly – you can listen to podcasts whatever you’re doing. Driving a car, cooking a meal, commuting – instead of staring out the window, with podcasts now you can learn.

Learning to play an instrument – Technology Buying Method

Learning to play an instrument is not as difficult as some might think. Expensive private teachers and practicing in groups is a thing of the past. Download an app on your phone, and learn to play the guitar, ukulele, piano, or whatever you’re inclined to play?

On Google Play and App Store you’ll find Yousician, your guide to starting a musical career! Step by step, you can master the instrument of your choice. Play when you want and tailor the playing routine to your schedule.

If you want to learn about music theory and train your ear, EarMaster does just that. You can develop your understanding of music and learn to recognize pitches.

Learning… just about anything

The internet is a massive resource. More and more people dive into the web in search of savvy interviews and self-educational videos. The biggest source of such materials is YouTube.

Sometimes called YouTube University, Google’s video platform is a bottomless resource of information.

Cutting-edge software and devices can help you learn. The reason why it’s become so popular to use information technology to learn is that it isn’t solely a source of education. It’s meant to be fun too!

Entertainment with Definitive Technology

As future technology became widely popular around the world, people are starting to seek new ways to spend their free time and unwind. Not so long ago, television was a household must-have. Nowadays, the game has changed.

Though many of us still own TVs, we tend to use it in a completely different way. Streaming services, gaming consoles, YouTube – there’s a myriad of ways you can use something as simple as the TV.

What you do in your free time is your individual choice. Some like to watch a TV series, others prefer Call of Duty. What is the world wide technology – devices – that you can use to entertain yourself even from the comfort of your garden?

TVs

Since the 1950s, television got its place in every home. Decades later, this world wide technology has reached a new level – slim TVs with high resolution are in the center of our living rooms.

The introduction of AI voice assistants and smart TVs was yet another breakthrough in the industry. If you want to know what to pay attention to when choosing a TV, you can check out our review.

Phones

Your smartphone is by far the most versatile device you own. It can help you connect, manage your business, learn a language, and is a great source of entertainment.

Phones with great displays are terrific for playing games and watching videos. High-resolution displays make using your phone fun in itself. And if the screen of your smartphone just isn’t enough, you can take another portable device into consideration…

Tablets

Laying somewhere between smartphones and laptops on the technological spectrum, tablets are mobile devices that offer bigger screens on the go.

Nowadays, you’ll find tablets with detachable keyboards. Such combination – both a touchscreen and a keyboard – makes tablets a fine substitute for laptops. Especially when it comes to entertainment, tablets really deserve your attention.

Gaming Consoles

Since 1972, when the first gaming console – Magnavox Odyssey – was released, the world of video games took a giant leap forward. Today, the video game industry is worth almost $135 billion.

Since this branch of entertainment technology is developing so fast, we decided to devote an entire section to new video game future technology – it’s down below.

As we’ve already established, technology is not only devices. Software – apps, and websites – is the essential world wide technology you’ll need to kick your feet up.

Streaming Services – Entertainment Future Technology

Streaming service providers are subscription-based services that allow their users to stream data online – be it music or films.

Technology Buying Method: Films

The way we consume movies is radically different than it was during Hollywood’s early days. Today, you can watch the latest productions from the comfort of your couch. What are the prices of film streaming services and what do they offer?

Netflix

Despite its comparably high cost, Netflix is one of the biggest high-quality online film libraries. Prices start at $8.99 per month, though only for SD film quality and one-screen watching. For $12.99 a month, you can watch Netflix on two screens at a time. The most expensive plan – simultaneous four-screen streaming for $15.99 per month – is great if you want to go Dutch with friends or split the costs with your family.

Netflix has recently started focusing on their original productions, as another player entered the game and started taking back what’s legally theirs – Disney+.

Disney+

Starting with Walt Disney’s bold dreams (no, he wasn’t frozen, get over it!), Disney has expanded to an enormous size. Now, Disney owns the rights to Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, and National Geographic.

This means that the biggest blockbusters of the last few years (as well as the classic animated movies from our childhood) are property of Disney.

For $6.99 a month, you can stream from Disney+ on your devices. If you want to have access to a broader variety of films, Disney also offers a bundle of streaming services for $12.99 per month, including Hulu and ESPN+.

Hulu

Speaking of Hulu, if you aren’t interested in a bundle of streaming services, you can subscribe to Hulu alone for $5.99 a month. This is by and large one of the cheapest streaming information technology services to choose from.

If you want to go ad-free, Hulu offers the price of $11.99 a month. Hulu is the streaming service to choose if you want to have access to the TV series they stream – including The Handmaid’s Tale and Catch-22.

ESPN+

For lovers of sport, ESPN+ offers archived and live ESPN shows for $4.99 a month. Take into consideration, however, that with ESPN+ you can watch neither live NBA, nor NFL games.

HBO Now

HBO’s streaming platform lets you watch HBO’s shows and movies on the go. In comparison to the aforementioned streaming services, it is rather costly – as much as $14.99 a month.

HBO Now is a stand-alone app. If you already pay for HBO as a subscriber to your TV DTH (direct-to-home) service, you can stream on HBO Go instead. Streaming services are a future technology worth paying attention to.

Amazon Prime Video

After a 30-day free trial, Amazon Prime Video’s monthly subscription stands at $8.99.

Amazon’s streaming service offers a range of films in high quality, and you can use it offline, which is a big plus. Bezos’ megacompany also produces original movies and TV series of their own.

YouTube Premium

If being the biggest (and probably most popular) streaming service in the world wasn’t enough, Google decided to upgrade YouTube. Now, you can pay a monthly subscription of YouTube Premium for $11.99.

Apart from their original productions, YouTube Premium gives you extra functions, like playing in the background (i.e. when you leave the app or lock the screen). For additional $6 a month, you can add family members to your plan.

Technology Buying Method: Music

While you commute, drive, or wash the dirty dishes, you listen to music. Information technology made it all possible. Whether it’s with headphones on, or through loudspeakers, the way we consume and experience music has changed. As radios and CDs were pushed to the background, streaming services are in the lead now. Which music streaming services are worth your time?

Spotify

286 million people use Spotify each month. This music streaming app is available both in a free and paid version. Starting at $9.99 a month, the Premium version lets you play any song you want (the basic plan lets you play shuffle only), as well as download your favorite albums and playlists and listen to them offline.

With Family Plan, for $14.99 per month, up to six people can listen to whatever they like and create their own playlist. The only requirement Spotify makes is for these people to live under one roof (they check if the addresses are the same for all users of the Family Plan). Spotify is a future technology we already use today.

Apple Music

If you’re an Apple user, Apple Music should be your music streaming platform of choice. Compatible with your iPhone, MacBook, and Apple Watch, it offers great connectivity between devices. Apple Music also uses Siri, Apple’s AI voice assistant, to help you navigate through the platform.

The monthly cost is equal to Spotify’s – starting at $9.99, and $14.99 for Family Membership.

YouTube Music

Google is not stopping at video streaming services (YouTube Premium). The massive online platform is now also streaming music – YouTube Music enters the game. It has become a world wide technology.

YouTube Music offers a few services that no other streaming platform has, which makes it unique. First of all, you can search for a song by its lyrics. For instance, if you know the chorus, but can’t quite remember the title. Another thing is that you can switch between audio and video with but a tap of a button.

For $9.99 a month you can have access to YouTube Music – a game-changer in the music streaming industry.

Tidal

After a 30-day free trial, you can subscribe to Tidal for $9.99 per month. This platform also has some features that distinguish them from the crowd.

Apart from high-quality music, with Tidal you often have early access to concert tickets. Tidal also offers a lot of backstage and live materials from artists, along with music-related articles to read.

Keep in mind though, that unlike Spotify, there’s no free version of Tidal. You have to opportunity to upgrade, however. The Family Plan costs $14.99 a month (a comparable price to other streaming services), while the Hi-Fi Family Plan is $29.99 per month, and you can have it for five people.

Amazon Music

Choosing the right streaming service can be tough. Making the decision, you should take into account what devices you already own. If you’ve got an Alexa Voice Assistant from Amazon at home, then Amazon Music is the right choice for you.

It’s all about compatibility, and it’s just what Amazon does. With Amazon Music streaming service, you’ll get access to music for $9.99 a month. Their high-quality music library is definitely worth the money.

If you already pay for Amazon Prime Video (the film streaming service we mentioned above), then you’ll get a discount for Amazon Music. With Prime Video, you’ll only have to pay $7.99 for this music streaming service.

Deezer

Despite the fact that Deezer doesn’t have the compatibility and all the fun features that its competitors have, there’s one big plus – it’s free.

You won’t have to pay a dime for Deezer’s mobile version, and you’ll have access to music, lyrics, live radio, podcasts… even videos.

Remember that its being free comes at a price. Deezer doesn’t have high-quality music, and its desktop version is, well, useless. Deezer is a great choice if you’re on a budget and want to stream music on the go – don’t think twice!

Games

Future Technology – VR

The Virtual Reality technology is by some seen as the future of gaming. Game makers often make games especially for VR, and year after year there’s more productions to buy. But how to choose the right VR set?

First of all, ask yourself if you already have a console. If you do own a console from Sony, Microsoft, or Wii, then you should keep it consistent. Not only will setting up be easier, but you’ll also spare some money.

Best VR Gear

Because money is a determining factor. Second of all, set your budget. If you desperately need VR, but your pockets aren’t too full, you can buy Nintendo’s Labo VR Kit for $79.99. For Virtual Reality connoisseurs, HTC’s Vive Cosmos VR set costs $699.99. Of course, you’ll find other propositions in between: Playstation, Oculus, and Samsung.

Lastly, look at the games that different platforms offer. Sony Playstation VR set often comes with a couple of games, like Skyrim and Resident Evil, while Google Gear VR needs your phone to work, and is compatible with mobile VR games.

When buying gaming consoles, the choice often depends on what games you can play on a particular platform. But today, more and more games are available cross-platform.

What is technology – AR

Augmented Reality apps and games have been showcased recently. They’re still a rarity, but both consumers and manufacturers see a lot of potential in this future technology.

Augmented Reality games allow you to expand what you see with interactive images through the screen of your phone. In fact, you don’t need the latest world wide technology to play AR games like Pokemon GO and Harry Potter: Wizards Unite.

Big tech companies invest their time and money in AR. Apple has their own list of best AR apps. They encourage you to use it to play games and have fun by connecting imagination with reality.

Google Lens uses Augmented Reality to bring the maps experience to a new level. You can also use this information technology to translate signs and menus from other languages in real time.

E-Sport

Esport, so video-games competitions, assembles players from around the world in prestigious competitions. Be it League of Legends or Counter Strike: Global Offensive, this is a $1-billion-worth business. It a massive world wide technology.

What future technology do you need to start your esport career?

PC

To kickstart your e-sport career, a powerful PC is an unquestionable must. You need great future technology that can withstand hours of working on the highest gears.

Way to pay attention to when buying a gaming PC?

Buying a PC

First things first: CPU, also known as the processor. It’s the heart of the PC. Choose computers with powerful CPUs to play without worrying too much.

Graphics card makes sure your gaming experience is smooth. When you choose the graphic card, check its compatibility with other components and performance. The right information technology is key.

Memory is a crucial aspect when choosing the right gaming PC. RAM (Random Access Memories) make your user experience (UX) go flowing. Storage is how much data you can store on your computer, and this information technology is extremely important.

Mouse

Buying a decent gaming mouse costs around $40, but finding models that cost up to $100 won’t be hard.

Gaming mice are all about design – the more expensive ones are moulded to your hand, making your palm sit comfortably on the mouse.

Once you’ve bought the gaming mouse you need, you might consider buying a desk pad, though the voices are polarized: some gamers love it, others hate it. You’ll need to decide for yourself whether you need this world wide technology.

Keyboard

Buying the right gaming keyboard might as well be the most important decision you make when composing your gaming gear set. A keyboard should be natural to type on, feel comfortable under your fingers, and… have a reasonable price.

What else should you pay attention to when choosing a keyboard?

Buying a Keyboard

Are some keys programmable? For experienced gamers, this can really make your lives easier.

Is the keyboard backlit? More and more keyboards are backlit – even MacBooks have it. Find out what quality the future technology is. Is it white or colorful RGB light?

Some gaming keyboards – especially the top-end ones – have wrist rests attached. Wrist rests are to make your gaming (or typing) experience even more comfortable.

Sure, find out which size suits you best. Whether your hands are big or small matters when choosing your keyboard, so don’t forget about it.

Monitor

Buying the monitor for gaming should go arm in arm with choosing the PC. If your graphic card is great, then it’s probably reasonable to go for a better monitor to make the best out of your gaming experience. Future technology is supposed to grant you pleasant gaming experience.

When you’re looking for a monitor, look at its size, aspect ratio, resolution, and weight. Response time (how fast its processes and displays information) and refresh rate are other information technology factors worth paying attention to.

The more you devote yourself to gaming, the more advanced future technology you’ll need. Professional esport competitors sometimes have more than one screen, or buy monitors with curved screens.

Audio Headset

Audio gear for gaming is purely subjective. Some gamers prefer to wear headphones, while other esport competitors would rather listen on loudspeakers.

If you do like headsets more, there’s plenty of options to choose from. In fact, your basics earphones will do, but remember there’s a reason they’re called basic. Headphones are way more comfortable and they damage your hearing so much.

Professional headphones are either wired (USB or mini-jack inputs) or wireless (Bluetooth).

Electric Vehicles

Hoverboards

Despite their name, hoverboards don’t actually hover. Much to many a geek’s pity, this future technology devices wheels and roll on the ground – but they’re just as fun!

The future technology of hoverboards have become popular among people of all ages and you’ll find them in almost every shop. If going to a shop isn’t an option for you, you can find them on Amazon for around $200.

No matter if you buy a hoverboard for yourself or for your kid, remember that safety is paramount. Wear a helmet and protectors and don’t go too fast – say what you want, you’re not Marty McFly!

Skateboards

Electric skateboards were popularized by people like Casey Neistat, showing how great a way of transport they are in the city.

When you do decide to buy an electric skateboard, think about the money. Electric skateboards’ prices range from $300 up to $2000. Some of them are designed especially for city cruising, others are more hardcore.

As we emphasize in the world wide technology buying method, identify your needs. Do you need a pro skateboard to ride off-road, or will a more economical model do for travelling from home to work?

Scooters

In the last few years, future technology of electric scooters has taken over the streets of big European and American cities. Generally speaking, they’re the easiest electric vehicles to ride.

If you want to buy an electric scooter for yourself, be ready to spend about $300 – you’ll find middle-shelf products for this price.

There’s another alternative if you want to use electric scooters in the city. Companies like Uber, Bolt, Byrd, and many others offer electric scooters for rent. How to choose the right electric scooter?

Their pricing is more or less the same – you pay around $1 to start and then up to $0.20 per minute. Despite the fact that each company has put speed limits on their scooter, always remember about safety measures when using world wide technology.

Drones

What do you need drones for? What are the uses of this world wide technology How can you use a drone? It’s not rocket science – shoot videos, fly around, have fun!

Of course, drones have many different ways you can use them. More and more often they’re used to deliver packages, catch illegal drones, they’ll even bring toilet paper right to your door when you need it.

The top drone manufacturers you should take into consideration when buying a drone are DJI and Parrot, with other brands like Ryze or Autel right behind them in the lead. In fact, you can buy a drone for $100, and the prizes range up to $1000 and more.

High-End Drones

The more expensive drones have some extra features, like omitting obstacles, GPS, controllers (cheaper drones are controlled via an app on your phone), even VR compatibility.

Make sure to determine your budget and needs. If the drone is solely for your entertainment, you don’t have to spend a fortune on it. Still, buying the least expensive model is also not a good idea.

PRO TIP: Before launching your drone, familiarize yourself with your region’s legislation surrounding drones. It’s highly probable that you’ll need to pay for a license, but don’t worry, those aren’t too costly. Also, cities often have zones where you can’t fly at all or only under a special credential. Get to know the legislation like the palm of your hand – fly safely and legally.

E-Book Readers

Reading ebooks is a fine alternative to traditional paperbacks. Not only do you have an entire library in your backpack, but it also weighs much less.

Amazon has completely dominated the e-book readers industry with its Kindle readers. Amazon releases a new Kindle e-reader every so often, always improving the reading experience. To get a Kindle, you’ll have to pay anything between $100-250.

A fine Amazon Kindle alternative is Kobo, a cheaper friend of Kindle’s. The choice of an ebook reader is depending predominantly on your budget, as these devices are neither complex nor diverse.

Information technology has a lot of potential when it comes to entertainment. New devices and apps meant to help you pass the time keep popping up. In a world where you’re surrounded by technology, you can’t get bored.

With the right information technology, we can do amazing things. Business, learning, and entertainment are just some of the options. Our future depends on schoolchildren, and their wings unfold through education.

Teaching and Education with Information Technology

During the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve seen many a school turn to online teaching as an alternative to traditional studying at school. Back then, there wasn’t too much choice, but have we – humanity as a species – learned something about education and teaching because of it?

Information technology might as well be the one factor to revolutionize education. Choosing the right world wide technology to teach is a challenge that school authorities are going to face. To keep up with this ever-pacing world, no institution has the liberty to stay in one place.

How can future technology help us educate kids?

Most students today – if not all of them – are digital natives. Born surrounded by world wide technology, they know the internet and technology inside out. Another feature that characterizes this generation is short attention span. What should teachers do with this? The answer: fight fire with fire.

It’s information technology that fascinates young people. To teach them effectively, teachers should use future technology to grab their attention and introduce new ways of teaching. Get off the beaten track and search for new ways to inspire young people!

What is the right definitive technology to teach?

Both students and teachers need world wide technology nowadays. Benefits abound, and if instead of fighting information technology we can use it, then there’s no better way to teach in the 21st century. Still, you might be wondering: What kind of future technology can I use in class?

The right world wide technology for education is fun and interactive. Here’s our list of future technology – both devices and software – that schools can use to bring their teaching to a whole new level and make life better.

Ultimate Guide To Buy Technology - The Technology Buying Method - Goodlife Engineering - World Wide Technology

Devices to use in class

Interactive Whiteboards

Often referred to as IWB, Interactive Whiteboards are the most obvious future technology to use in the class. Why are they so important? The thing is that they aren’t in fact reinventing the wheel. They’re but a modern substitute for centuries-old blackboards.

Forget about chalk, dirty fingers, and nails screeching on the blackboard’s surface. IWBs are easy to use and neat. They give teachers the ability to spark up interest in their students with visual stimuli like photos, videos, multimedia presentations and more.

I remember going to school and attending maths classes (good old times). Solving mathematical problems with an interactive whiteboard pen instead of a piece of chalk was incomparably nicer. Not only is it better for students, but it also makes life easier for teachers!

Which interactive whiteboard to choose?

We’ve done our homework and did some research on it… for you! Here’s our ranking – top five interactive whiteboards:

Plus M17 Copyboard

This wide electronic copyboard is a great world wide technology to collaborate with your students using technology. Its scanning time (so how long it takes to reproduce an image from another device, e.g. from a laptop) is 15 seconds. 70” high and 35” wide, this IWB doesn’t require any additional software. Teachers can simply plug it into their computers and start working with information technology on a daily basis.

Vibe Collaboration Smart Whiteboard

Vibe is an all-in-one information technology, dedicated to bringing the teaching experience to a whole new level. With smart software, you can use it to work together in a team on different devices, which is a great asset for the classroom. Check out the manufacturer’s official website for more details.

Astar AWB-6507

Astar’s multi-touch display is a professional interactive smart whiteboard. This IWB comes in two versions: a 55” and 65” smart boards. Depending on the size you choose, the price is respectively $2600 and $2850. Though this is some costly stuff, you can be sure that this is the right technology for the classroom, giving both the teachers and their students a brand-new look on education.

OneScreen Hubware H4 Smartboard

The interactive whiteboard from OneSceen has a massive 86” display, letting you use it with both a finger and a pen. This smartboard has a 4K LED touchscreen and can be used for video conferences too. Its greatest drawback is its price. If you want to go for this interactive whiteboard, this technology costs over $10,000. Before adding it to your cart, think it through… twice!

Smart Tech Smart Board M600

SMART Technologies provide resources for flexible learning. Their interactive smart whiteboards help teachers adapt to the ever-changing environment. The 77-inch display is armed with SMART’s DViT (Digital Vision Touch) information technology. Not only is it a great tool, but it’s also affordable. You can buy it for around $250, yet you’ll probably need some extras too, like a pen or an eraser. It’s still cheap though.

Online Teaching Platforms

In the era of homeschooling and online teaching, platforms that connect students with their teachers while they’re at home is an opportunity you can’t ignore. Not only does it help you stay in touch with your pupils, but it’s also an eco-friendly solution.

Using technology to share PDFs and homework online is better for the environment than printing tons of Xero copies (and this future technology certainly healthier for the students’ spines).

You’ll find more than a few platforms that allow you to connect. Apps like Zoom or Skype are great for video conferences, but for teachers, we’d recommend using software made for education.

Which online teaching platforms are the best?

Google Classroom

Google Classroom is a free online collaboration service for teachers and their students. This information technology allows you to share materials, set and control deadlines, and many more.

This online teaching platform also gives you access to Google Meet, Google’s free video conference service. It’s all integrated with other online web services from Google – Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Google Classroom is easy to use and gives educators plenty of useful features.

Edmodo

In the world of online teaching platforms, Edmodo is one of Google Classroom’s greatest competitors in the niche of information technology. This company from California gives the opportunity for K-12 educators to connect, collaborate, and coach their pupils.

You can sign up for a free account at Edmodo and start using this world wide technology today. More and more schools are being affected by COVID-19. Edmodo is a great opportunity not to lose this time and keep teaching with the help of online platforms.

Microsoft Teams

Teachers can sign up for Microsoft Teams for free. Along with allowing collaboration, Microsoft Teams offers cloud file storage, video chatting, and app integration.

Teams’ is an online teaching platform, so keep in mind that to unlock its full potential you need Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, etc.), which isn’t free. Not every student has access to those services, yet Microsoft Teams is still a great online teaching platform.

Mobile Devices

Mobile phones and tablets in the classroom? That’s a controversial topic, and for years many teachers have been against the use of mobile devices in the classroom. Yet, this world wide technology has a lot to offer for educators.

Why use mobile devices at school? Well, first of all – each student has one! Because of this simple truism, the school doesn’t necessarily have to invest in any additional world wide technology and stick to what’s already there.

Another reason is that mobile devices are extremely versatile. We’ve already discussed how mobile and wearable technologies are helpful in our lives. Say goodbye to the stigma, break the mould, and explore new ways of mobile teaching!

Computers

Today, computers are a must. In more and more schools, teachers have their own laptops. Information technology is becoming necessary to carry out classes. We’ve all already got used to this new way of teaching.

Another thing is that students need education in terms of information technology and world wide technology (though a lot of them already know it). Each school should seriously consider setting up an IT workshop – a classroom devoted to world wide technology and computers. Let’s introduce students to tech from the grassroots level.

Wi-Fi Connection

One of the biggest mistakes that schools make when choosing the right future technology is buying a lot of costly devices and forgetting about a reliable, fast Wi-Fi network!

Choosing a suitable Wi-Fi network should be one of the most important decisions. Wireless networks integrate everything and everybody together. Besides, we all know how annoying it is to wait for a web page to load – why not spare the teachers from this modern nightmare?

AR (Augmented Reality)

Though we’ve already touched upon Augmented Reality when we covered games, AR has a lot more to offer if you’re willing to give it a try.

With Augmented Reality, you can visualize the anatomy of the human body, observe a volcano eruption, or explore geometry.

What are the best AR apps for the classroom?

Google Expeditions

Bring the world into your classroom with Google Expeditions. This Augmented Reality app allows you to help students understand the reality around them beyond mere photos.

Show them what size a shark is, or explore the structure of genes with them. The opportunities that Google Expeditions bring are limitless.

Wonderscope

Wonderscope is an AR iOS app for children. Combining learning with play, kids can follow stories of colorful, friendly characters. What is more, it teaches them reading in a fun ways – which is great for younger pupils.

Shapes 3D

Geometry has never been easier. Students always find it troublesome to imagine the more complicated structures and shapes. The Shapes 3D iOS Augmented Reality app lets pupils play around with geometry and build 3D shapes – make education fun!

3D Printing

3D Printing is possibly the last thing that comes to your mind when you’re choosing information technology for the classroom, and rightly so. Very few schools have 3D printers, this world wide technology is doubtlessly more expensive, often reserved for the more specialized environment of universities.

Nonetheless, 3D printers are more and more common, and they’re always a fun addition to classes. Students can design their own forms and then print the three-dimensional objects. As professional sites say though, the average price of a 3D printer is $700, and you’ll find a few models for cheaper prices. Why not give 3D printers a try at school?

We should have said goodbye to traditional education long ago. The fact that we already use world wide technology all the time is a telling zeitgeist. To prepare our kids to living in a world of the internet of things, we should introduce world wide technology from the very beginning of education.

What Should You Pay Attention to When Buying Definitive Technology?

You already know how we use world wide technology nowadays. Individual-use devices help you navigate through life and stay connected. The 21-century business depends largely upon technology. In addition to that, tech can help you get smarter and unwind.

No matter what you’re going to need the technology for, there are some aspects you should take into consideration when scrolling through similar products. The truth is, it’s not that easy to buy the right technology today. How to buy information technology? What should you pay attention to when choosing the right world wide technology for you?

Budget & Price

The amount of money you’re ready to pay for the right future technology for you varies. Maybe you’ve been saving your pennies for months to afford that smartwatch? Or maybe buying a set of PCs is your company’s investment? Make sure you know your budget.

Based on the budget, you’ll be able to narrow down on devices from a specific range of prices. This aspect of the world wide technology choice method is usually the first thing that people do. In companies, institutions, or even your own, you should know how much you want to spend on a particular information technology.

Brand Authority

Despite all criticism, brands do matter. Their reputation will speak volumes about what you can expect. It’s not meaningless that big brands are… big.

Some pay more attention to design, others are known for great cameras. At today’s technological stage, companies keep broadening their area of expertise. For instance, Apple started out as a computer company, and now they do phones, laptops, smartwatches, TVs, PCs, headphones, and so on. Have you got a favorite brand of your own? Let us know in the comments below!

Competition

Got your favorite brand, maybe even a model? Do your research and check out what others have to offer. Compare prices and brands.

As we mentioned above, brands specialize in different areas, sometimes many at a time. Despite the fact that Apple does so many great devices, you won’t find an Apple camera. If you want a camera, go for Nikon, or Sony. Compare competing brands to see what suits you best. Some websites have a compare option that shows you the differences between two or more products. Use it, and see what suits you best.

Production Year

This one is tricky. Old is not always gold… but neither is new.

To buy the right definitive technology, you’ve got to define your needs. For a blogger, a five-year-old MacBook will be just fine. A gamer, on the other hand, would need a brand-new Predator laptop to pursue their e-sport career. Today, technology ages quickly. New ones keep entering the market, and it’s hard to figure it all out.

Remember that just because something is new doesn’t mean it’s perfect. We’ve all seen what happened with the flexible-screen Samsung…

Besides, if you’re on a budget, you can find refurbished and used devices out there. They’re always cheaper, and sometimes they’ll be just enough for you.

Usability & UX

Are the technologies going to be used by 5th graders or a team of IT consultants? The UX (User Experience) has to be tailored for the ones that will get to use the technology you buy.

Some devices are easy to use, others need technical knowledge to be used properly. If you identify your target group, then buying the technology for them will be much easier. In the Technology Buying Method, usability plays a key role – you wouldn’t let a nine-year-old pilot a Boeing, would you?

Operating System and Software

Mac, Windows, Linux… What to buy?

There are a couple of differences between operating systems, especially in PCs. When it comes to smartphone software, the way you use gestures and control the phone may be totally different. It’s often a matter of getting used to it.

In the end, it the choice of OS often narrows down to which device you like more (or which one you can afford). To give you an idea, we’ve compared the most popular operating systems out there. Which OS should you choose?

Dimensions: Size and Weight

Do you need a mobile device or a stationary one? Is it a phone that’ll fit into your pocket or a desktop printer?

Before we dive deeper, a PRO TIP: note the dimensions of your device. Knowing the width, length, and height will help you when buying a case for your technologies or setting it up at a desk.

When you’re choosing a device to buy, make sure you know where to put it then (that being the case with printers, desktop computers, scanners, etc.). If you’re buying a mobile device, they also come in a wide range of sizes. You’ll find anything between Huawei Mate Xs 8” foldable display and modest Samsung Galaxy S10E.

Make sure it fits in your pocket!

Connectivity

Technology uses different methods to connect. Make sure that you know about your new gizmo’s connectivity. That includes wireless systems, as well as ports.

With technologies like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi being constantly improved, one must know about the devices’ wireless connectivity. New devices are compatible with most systems and standards. Other wireless connection options you might need are NFC (allowing contactless payments with your phone), and Personal Hotspot (turning your phone into a Wi-Fi router).

Had it not been enough, USB type C is becoming widely used. In the last few years, manufacturers have more often decided to ditch the old ports for the sake of USB-C. New MacBooks, for instance, use only USB-C for wired multimedia sharing (in comparison to USB, HDMI, mini-jack, SD, and power plug in previous models).

Why pay attention to that? Think about your other devices. If no other technology you use runs on USB-C, then you’ll need to buy additional converters, only taking up more space in your backpack.

Battery Life

This factor is exceptionally important when we’re talking about mobile devices. With age, battery life might shrink significantly, often for the sake of speed. What is the optimal battery life?

Of course, that is not an issue with stationary devices: printers, scanners, loudspeakers – you plug them in, and they work. As simple as that!

Warranty

A piece of paper may be worth a lot. Don’t fret over unexpected damages and buy technology with the manufacturer’s warranty. From 12 to 24 months, your hardware and technology will be insured in case something went wrong.

Warranties are here for your good night’s sleep. Things don’t always go as planned, and devices break. Be ready for that, and buy tech with warranty.

Functionality

In other words: usefulness. How is this technology going to make your life easier? The Definitive Technology Buying Method puts a huge emphasis on this aspect of getting what you need. One of the questions you should ask yourself is “How is this technology supposed to help you engineer a good life?”

Ways that tech can make your life easier abound. Do you want to surf the web faster, or integrate your devices quicker? Answer this question and make a well-thought-through decision.

Hardware & Design

Last, but not least – design. Hardware is the physical device that you get. Manufacturers tend to place importance on how technology looks like. If you’re going to use your device for a few years, you obviously want it to be beautiful.

There is no one aesthetic ideal of beauty. The discussion on which devices are ugly, and which are nice is purely subjective. Buy whatever you find nice, it’s supposed to be for you!

Things to Remember

As you see, buying the right technology is a complex process. Today, technology has so many features to look into that you might get lost. The things to pay attention to we discussed above are by far the most important aspect you should take a glimpse at.

Buy the right technology like a pro, considering all the options, looking for pros and cons, doing your research. Once you know what you need (how much battery life you need, which OS you prefer, what your budget is etc.), it’ll be easier for you to buy the right technology and make a good life for yourself.

Based on the aforementioned key points, we’ll now move on to our final section: Characterizing Technology.

The Definitive Technology Buying Method: Characterizing Definitive Technology

Given all that we’ve discussed so far, you should more or less know how to engineer a good life with the help of technology. Buying the right technology might seem intuitive, but it’s more difficult than some may think.

Because new technologies are popping out like mushrooms after the rain, the Technology Buying Method is your Ultimate Guide to making the right decisions when deciding what you should buy.

Step #1 Who needs definitive technology?

In the past, when technology was still a novelty, it was exclusive to scholars and engineers. As time progressed, in the 21st century definitive technology is everywhere. We use it to do business. It’s helpful when you want to learn, educate yourself, or educate others. In your everyday life, you use it to connect and for entertainment.

Who needs technology? Short answer is: everybody. No matter your age, social status, or occupation, you will encounter tech all the time.

You need technology. Don’t delude yourself, because that will only do bad for you. Technology is here to help you have a good life. And everybody wants to have a good life, don’t we?

Step #2 Hardware vs Software

In the sections above, we discussed how crucial it is to combine software with hardware. When you think technology, devices are the first thing that comes to your mind. The newest phones, most advanced computers, cutting-edge wearable tech.

However, to guarantee that these devices work for you, software is necessary. Apps, operating systems, and services are dedicated to make your life easier. They give you the opportunity to learn new things, reach out to your friends, or build business relationships.

So it shouldn’t be Hardware vs Software. This isn’t the correct way of looking at it. Nowadays, buying the right technology is hardware and software. When they tell you to choose, take it all. Combine devices with systems to get the best of both worlds.

Step #3 The Questions to Ask Yourself

As a quick recap, we’ll remind the key questions to ask yourself when buying technology according to this ultimate guide.

Why Do You Need a Particular Technology?

Simon Sinek, a motivational speaker, advises: Start with why. Everything you do in your life should have a purpose. Technology is a paramount part of your life – let it be meaningful and bring you value.

How Is This Definitive Technology Supposed to Help You?

Technology is supposed to make your life better – this is the cause behind all devices and software. Be it learning German, meeting new people, or kickstarting your entrepreneurial career – technology has to work for you.

What Kind of Definitive Technology Am I Looking For?

To decide what matters to you, and whether you’re looking for a wearable device, a streaming service, or an interactive whiteboard, ask yourself: Which technology is fit for the purpose?

Today, there are countless categories and niches of tech – starting with ubiquitous mobile devices, to specialized, professional software. What is it exactly that you’re looking for?

Step #4 What’s Important?

What should you pay attention to when buying the right technology for you? In the previous section, we’ve covered all the aspects of technology that you should take into consideration.

Things like battery life, production year, or even the brand itself, will speak volumes about a particular future technology. Always make educated and thought-through choices and buy what you find best.
